Weekend - Furniture and Eric Church

Our big exciting things over the weekend were:

1. We ordered all of the furniture that we picked out a couple of weeks ago from Charlie at FurnitureLand South in High Point. Expected delivery varies but around 7-10 months. Furniture is struggling with having people to make the furniture as well so it takes a lot longer. We are willing to wait because the quality over a regular store you can order from is impeccable, plus it's all custom but for reasonable pricing. And most of it is made in North Carolina. This was a long overdue order so we needed a lot of things:

 - master bed, side tables, dresser
 - Molly Anne bed
 - ottoman for our family room
 - beach house sectional (we got one by Four Seasons. We have the same sofas at home and they are top notch quality)
 - beach house outdoor sofa, rocker chairs, coffee table and side table

2. Eric Church concert...see pics below!

Friday was beautiful out so after work and school we headed to the patio at Improper Pig for dinner. They have the best grassy area and after being at school all day, the kiddos love playing and moving around. Much better than sitting at the table with us!

Caught them like this. So sweet.

We ended up seeing some friends of ours from our old neighborhood so we played with them for awhile then called it an early night.

Saturday morning working together on something. I forget what they were even doing!

We divided and conquered early Saturday. Kevin and Grady went to get a bat and glove for his upcoming tee ball season. Molly Anne and I headed to Nordstrom to take a couple of things back and to get her some daddy daughter dance shoes!

Then we all met back at home and swapped. I took Grady to a friend's birthday party at Charlotte Allstars and then Molly Anne had one for a friend at their house. They were both adorable!

We headed uptown with our neighbors around 5:15 for dinner reservations at Aria. We were even able to score the Chefs Table where you sit in the kitchen...kind of to the side. It's a cool experience if you've never done it!

Celebrated Hilary's birthday which is today - Happy Birthday to my sista!!! Couldn't live without her and I'm so thankful she was born!

We headed over to the arena for the Eric Church concert.

He didn't have an opener and it said it started at 8pm. He didn't come on until 9:10pm! He played until 12:05am! Needless to say, it was a late night! But SOOO fun! We really had a great time.

I even got to see one of my sorority sisters who I just love, Kimmy! We were chaos in college together. We both live in Charlotte but an hour away from each other. I wish I saw her more often because she's such a good friend.

I can't even describe all of the funny parts of this picture. A true classic of the four of us who have been friends for many many years.

We love some live music together! Live music and real estate are our things! Ha.

Church was awesome. I loved him carrying the American flag around.

He sung These Boots and everyone holds their boots in the air!

We got home after 1am! Big night. We were zonked yesterday and it was raining so we didn't do much of anything. Played, crafts, legos, hung out, movie, games, all of the chill day things.

Back to the grind today. I'm whipping out some projects this week. Gotta get my head on straight and jam to some 90's rap to get going. Talk soon -

Friday

Not much riveting information over here today.

1. So sad what’s going on in Ukraine. We are incredibly fortunate to live in the USA. Fly those flags proudly!

2. I had a fun week of easy meals planned but those got semi derailed. Greek chicken bowls were top on the list. Marinate chicken in Kraft greek dressing then grill it. Add feta, black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and tzatziki. Yum!

3. Speaking of food. I grabbed these at Teeter. Can’t wait to try them! Anything by Sir Kensington is so good. Ever had their mayo? Amazing.

4. Kevin took Molly Anne to the dollar general in ocean isle last weekend and let her pick something out. She picked this diary to get and let me tell you. She is so obsessed and really treasures it. Little things people! She also asked him to get something for Grady…she got him a monster truck that was like a four wheeler!

My kids always think of each other and that makes my mama heart so happy. A few weeks ago when Grady and I were at the beach, he asked to get Molly Anne a treat to take back to her. He picked out a rainbow Sharky’s tshirt ha! I love that it was his idea. Special!! Okay I’ll stop, I’m just proud of them.

5. Clearly my tractor loving boy NEEDS this from Target for Easter!! Added to cart!

Otherwise just been grinding at work. My head almost exploded yesterday but I keep putting my head down and getting it done! Happy Friday! 77 and sunny today in Charlotte so we may find a patio later this afternoon!

Loving This Week

Hello friends. Back in action today. Been a rough couple of days but here we are. Always brighter days ahead!

I saw this suit and instantly loved it. And check out the back too.

This looks like the perfect casual dress for Spring and Summer.

I got this cover up and this bathing suit in the mail for Molly Anne this week - SO cute!

I just love that ruffled back!

And I grabbed this shirt too and it's the perfect shade of pink! Grab it when it goes on sale! This is the same shirt I wore in green on Monday!

Dock - Before and After

Our new dock is finally complete! I know I keep talking about it on here but it was a big deal! We had to figure out who would be able to do it in a timely manner, who was trustworthy out of a small workforce at the beach, what materials to use and all of the details!

Before…

After…

It’s made out of a plastic by a company called Titan Decking. It’s plastic basically and has a lifetime warranty. We won’t ever have to replace it again assuming no hurricanes! No splinters, no wood with the salt air, no falling apart, no annual maintenance. We are so excited!

Weekend at the Beach

Well we were supposed to go to the beach on Friday after school but my littlest friend had some stomach crud last week after his buddy at school brought it to 4 friends unknowingly. By Friday he was definitely on the mend but we decided to wait an extra day to be sure everyone was going to be okay. And we were thankfully!

Little Vitamin D is always a good idea! He never rides in the stroller anymore so this was a treat for both of us. Pushing 65 pounds around our hilly hood ha!

So glad he was better! It was a sad 18 hours for him midweek. We grilled out and laid low Friday. We decided at 8:30am Saturday that we were going to the beach. Then left at 9!

Find the puppy

Where we belong!

Growling at algae floating down the canal.

We got to have dinner at Oyster Rock on Saturday night. It was soooo good. Margarita, raw oysters and grouper - yessss!

The service was impeccable (thank you Robin) and the atmosphere top notch. Highly recommend but book a reservation now for April, seriously!

Potatoes au gratin didn’t have any calories!

Wearing this shirt (so comfortable, machine washable, dress up or down) and these jeans

Ha you can’t win them all!

Oyster Rock from the dock.

Sunday morning at our fav - 59 Causeway!

Checked out the dredging project on the east end. They’re saving numerous houses that were literally in the ocean!

We walked to the beach with shovels in hand and played for awhile. Don’t worry, it wasn’t as perfect as it looked. Grady shoveled sand into the air and it ended up getting on a lady petting Mills. I took his shovel and he cried almost the entire walk home. Ahhhh! I’m leaving out a lot of parts but he knew better and did it anyway!

Nap time for Grady and Mills!

We took them to the playground before dinner to play play play. It was super windy though. They decided to perform on stage where the concerts are on Fridays during the summer!

We headed to Inlet View for dinner last night!

Strawberry daiquiri queen! Ever since we went here with my parents and my Dad got her one of these, she has to have one every time we go to Inlet View!

Grady and I shucked steamed oysters! They were so good!

Playing on this stage when no one was there. I see a pattern! They thought it was funny to take a pic with the sign. It’s for when there’s a band on stage during the summer!

Long weekend for Molly Anne at school for Presidents’ Day today. Kevin and I do not have a holiday of course. Chat soon!
