FOUR - I actually grabbed this cover up for Molly Anne in blue and white and it's so cute. I would def get it if I needed coverups. It scoops in the back.

Welcome to another week of riveting meals in our little world! Simple is the name of my game.
Sunday - baked potato bar with a Caesar salad
Monday - sausage, mushroom, orange pepper, onion and cheese quiche with fruit (I made this on Sunday because I was out of town Monday night and this was easy for Kevin to pop in the oven)
Tuesday - rotisserie chicken, green beans and air fried baby potatoes
Wednesday - shrimp red curry
Thursday - red beans and rice - going to make the rice with bone broth instead of water
Friday - pizza night
Friday was a busy day but fun day! First up - Head Spa Sanctuary with the 2nd grade moms! It was a great time. You def leave with clean but wet hair!
Quick turnaround to celebrate Hilary's birthday with her people at Postino!
Then we went out for drinks at Foxcroft and then dinner at Porters House! This filet with bone marrow truffle butter was INSANE!

Molly Anne had her last basketball game! They ended the season 4-1-1.

Sunday was so nice out - 77 and sunny we were outside all day and had about 7 or 8 little boys in and out all day.
It was a good day. Molly Anne wasn't feeling the best all weekend so that was a bummer. Fingers crossed she's on the mend soon.
This week I learned a little about sink plumbing because Grady lost another tooth on Monday night then was so excited dropped it down the drain. FaceTimed my Dad to learn about plumbing and I got it out! Now I know! Grady's mouth...!
These are the days...randomly deciding to go to the high school girls and boys playoff basketball games on a Thursday night! They LOVED it. We've been before, I think once last year but each year they love it more.
I'm not sure if I have mentioned but one day a week I've been getting two kids from every second grade class at their school and teaching some extra challenging math! I love my 9 boys and 1 girl and we've had a great time learning. Math is so important and I like encouraging it to be fun. One of the teachers told me this week that the grade level is doing a service project during my time so we will have to skip.. and she said her two kiddos were super bummed to miss our Math Magician time! It made me so happy to hear they love it as much as I do.
Had to get those gray hairs gone so don't look unkept! Blonde teasy lights thanks to Ragan!

I'm sitting here in a waiting room to get my eyes checked. Yesterday I was at the dermatologist and out of there before 8am. It seems like all of my appointments are within the same two weeks. It got me thinking about allllll of the appointments we have as a 40 something year old.
Internist - it still shocks me that so many of my friends don't have one. Make an appointment and get established!

Gyn - I try to do this 6 months from my internist appt or mammogram so I get checked throughout the year

Friday afternoon in February 77 degrees and sunny! And he lost his fused tooth going down the slide and his knee hit his chin! It was a big tooth to lose!

She had two great basketball games this weekend.
We met Hilary's new puppy Deb!
We headed to the Southend area on Saturday evening to meet up with David and Jenn! It's always SO good to see them. We ended up having drinks at Folia then popped into a pizza place for din then we went to Tyber Creek! Pretending we were young again! Good times with good peeps!
Sunday we went out for breakfast then to Costco. Molly Anne had a friend come over and I took the three kiddos to Starbucks, bath and body and Sephora. Grady wanted to come only for the Starbucks ha!
He had a swim lesson Sunday afternoon which was good. Gotta get that endurance up and perfect the strokes!
For dinner I made this pasta dish - barilla protein angel hair, just bare chicken nuggets, Alfredo sauce which I added garlic, onion, mushrooms and spinach to. It was good!

I was in Maryland for a night a couple of weeks ago. Wanted to check in on my parents! Trying to do that every 6-8 weeks as best I can with the kid's activities and work. First stop - cream of crab soup with Dad!!
I know we all do so much laundry but I gotta say, I'm about to have Molly Anne do her own. The child has the tallest pile by far every time I fold the clothes. Kevin has noticed too (he actually helps me fold often) and he said she will stop if she does her own. Hmmmm! If the people that live with me continue to leave their things inside out, they get returned to them inside out. I'm over doing all of that!
100th day of school! Grady was so funny and Molly Anne told him funny things to say in an old man voice. Not one person dressed up in 5th grade evidently. Molly Anne wanted to but decided not. Prob a good thing but I like that she's still herself!
We try to go on walks pretty often. This time we were at the playground. The kids wanted to take pics in the same place as they had before. Check out this comparison of them! Time flies!
ONE - I will be getting this shirt. It is so pretty in person and fits like a dream. I had my work pants on with it ;)
TWO - a simple tee but thick and flattering - a need in every color.
THREE - Molly Anne's new kicks. They're so fun. As much as she wanted the raised Sambas, they just don't fit her right.
FOUR - gorgeous dress and so reasonable
FIVE - another easy throw on tee with ruffled sleeves. Heads up - the white is see-through!
We are sort of in limbo these days between winter and spring sports.
Molly Anne is wrapping up basketball in February, which she LOVES! She has had an awesome coach this year and has learned a lot. She has been begging me to let her ride a horse every now and then. She loved the camp she did last year. So she's going to do that here and there this spring (maybe once a month-ish). She also has taught herself how to do piano so we are going to formalize that a bit and get her in real lessons starting this week! She is also playing on our club's junior tennis team which is super cool! I've enjoyed watching her play tennis. Warms my little heart that she loves it! Oh and she's going to play field hockey. It all sounds like a lot but it really is all very low key.
Grady just finished flag football and loved it. This was the second time he had played. He played two years ago. Last year he did basketball instead. He loves some flag! Baseball starts soon and he is only doing one rec team this season - thank goodness! The two teams in the Fall were too much for a 7 year old in my little opinion. He's going to play some lacrosse when he can and he is also going to swim to get ready to roll for summer swim and camp! We can always throw some tennis in there if he's sitting idle too long. He has a ton of school work every day after school these days - about 1.5 hours! It's wild but good. Molly Anne did that much homework after school in first grade, now Grady gets it in second grade.

Here's how I'm getting through this week:
Sunday - we did make your own pizza in a new pizza oven we gave Kevin for his birthday. I forsee many more fun nights doing this! Also, I liked this oven bc it didn't require gas like the Solo Stove one.
Monday - chicken lettuce wraps - my kids LOVED these and they got 7 plant points! I didn't use water chestnuts, I used rotisserie chicken (I won't use ground ever), and then I winged some of the other ingredients. Big win!
Tuesday - cheez it chicken tenderloins (just chicken dipped in egg then dipped in crushed cheez its then air fried), sweet potatoes and a fruit
Wednesday - burgers from the freezer - anytime I have extra hamburger meat not cooked, I make patties out of it. Now I have like 5 so I want to use them! I've been doing burgers in the air fryer too and they're SO good. Will prob do a side salad with these.

Friday night we celebrated Kevin's birthday with his dad, brother and niece at Wagon Wheel. Always good times with a classic salad bar and ole country spot. The place was packed at 5pm!
Saturday morning, Molly Anne and I delivered flowers to widows as part of Watch Love Grow which my friend Ashley started. @prettythings.charlotte What she is doing is something special. This was my 4th year helping I think (last year I missed because we were in the Bahamas). It was great to have Molly Anne with me and the ladies loved seeing her!

We originally were going to go to the beach this weekend but it rained all day yesterday so we bailed. We ended up going to Baoding (chinese) for dinner on Valentine's Day then to the mall. It was exciting!
Yesterday since it rained we just got stuff done around the house. I'm prepping kids clothes for a consignment sale and just stuff like that!
Today the kiddos are off school so Kevin and I are splitting the work day. Ahhh! Chat soon!
