Jackson Hole

We have been in Jackson, Wyoming this past weekend and are back now! Spent a few nights and it was perfect. The direct flight from Charlotte was so easy. Fun fact - Jackson is the town Jackson Hole is the entire nearby area! I had to google it.

We just booked the trip a couple of weeks ago. We couldn't decide where to go while the kids were at Camp. Ended up on this so we were a bit last minute. We asked a friend who has a house out here where to have dinner and I searched the charlotte moms Facebook groups for ideas too. Other than that, that's all of the planning that went into it. Here's a list of the places we went that were great:

Breakfast:

Cowboy Coffee

The Bunnery

Pearl Street Bagels

Lunch:

DOGS - local burritos

Dinner:

The Local - American

Glorietta - Italian

Merry Piglets - Mexican

We landed on Friday and got our car and headed downtown. Stayed at Hotel Jackson (it was great and super convenient). Had a quick lunch at DOGS and walked around all of the shops. Ended up stopping for drinks at Roadhouse Brewing Company and met a nice couple from England - Emily and Rhys! We chatted with them for awhile and saw them again a couple of other times later in the evening. Very fun!

Didn't get a hat but wanted to!

Dinner at The Local - Buffalo Wellington - yum!

Saturday morning fuel at Cowboy Coffee before our big adventure to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone!

We ended up doing this big loop. About 250 miles. Took us from about 8am-4pm but we stopped a bunch along the way if we saw something of interest. We liked it because we saw both parks and got to go to Montana and Idaho. I had been to Idaho but Kevin hadn't and neither of us had been to Montana.

Tetons

colter bay was gorgeous

Snake River behind us. Pictures don't do places like this justice!

Saw the Old Faithful Geyser erupt.

Visited the cutest fly fishing shop in West Yellowstone, Montana and Kevin got a pic with the owner.

Back in Jackson - had to go have a drink on the saddle at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar! They even had high noons!

Watched the cowboy shootout at the town square which they have every night at 6pm. It was sort of an acting out skit. Our kids would have loved it.

Probably our favorite dinner at Glorietta. Couldn't get a reservation but walked right in to the bar.

The bartender at Glorietta told us to go to Teton Tiger and have this Natsu Sour drink. SO good.

We ended up meeting a big group of people at Teton Tiger and went to the Silver Dollar Bar with them for some live music. Felt like we were 25 again! And the next morning was rough! This breakfast from The Bunnery was delish though - hash browns, eggs, mushrooms and Swiss with sour cream on the side.

It was sleeting outside when we came out of breakfast! We drove out to Wilson and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to check that out. Very cool place to ski and hang out.

On the way back we stopped at Emily Stevens Park and walked for awhile. It was windy, cold and raining so that didn't last long!

We kinda just hung the rest of the day and walked around Jackson. Early dinner at Merry Piglets - so good. Walked some more and split a mudslide milkshake from Jackson Drug.

A cool knife shop that Kevin liked.

It was great to get away! Now back to reality!

Little Quiet

It's pretty quiet around here! No kiddos and no Mills. We are still keeping busy. I have a list of things to accomplish before we get Grady back! Things like cleaning out their clothes that are too small, organizing our third floor in anticipation of a project we are doing up there, starting a book (any suggestions?!), exercising more, working a lot, planning Molly Anne's birthday party, etc etc!

Playing catch up a bit on pictures!

Lots of baseball field time lately! Allstars schedule is no joke!

Celebrated Father's Day a bit early since we took them to camp on actual Father's Day!

Looking like a teenager!

Short swim meet season for my little peeps but they had fun doing it!

Camp haircut end styled...he thought he was extra cute and I must agree!

Talk soon!

Camp

Well...we have dropped the kids at Camp! Grady is going for 2 weeks and Molly Anne for 4! They're soooo excited and I'm so happy for them! Molly Anne didn't have time for many pictures because she was off to meet new friends. What an experience for them both!

Summer Finds

I really haven't focused on looking at clothes lately. Too much going on with Mills, packing the kids for camp, swim meets and work! But it is always nice to finally sit down at 9:30pm and look online! So here I am with some finds.

ONE - I like the way the stripes are at the arm on this top!

TWO - y'all know I'm married to Lululemon tennis skirts but this one is CUTE! And 30% off so $49.

THREE - I don't typically like birds of any kind on clothes (or really in general), but this top is such a pretty blue and is very fancy!

FOUR - easy sundress over a bathing suit

FIVE - refresh of indoor/outdoor pillows?!

Thank You and Staying Busy

I cannot thank you all enough for all of your kindness yesterday. Your comments brought me to tears! So many of yall have been following along for so long and loved Mills. Thank you SO much.

As you can imagine, we stayed very busy this past weekend on purpose. Last day of school...

A swim meet on Thursday night. Good sportsmanship is what I care about the most! Go Grady.

The boys got to go to the Savannah Bananas game on Saturday night with his friend Connor and his dad. Molly Anne and I went to dinner and the mall and...Barnes and Noble! Big time readers go to Barnes and Noble on a Saturday night yall! Molly Anne was thrilled to be there. Laughing. Worse places to be!

Lots of pool time - neighborhood party and also had some baseball friends over to swim!

Speaking of baseball....all day on Sunday. The whole back of my car was packed with stuff for the day. Coolers, snacks, blankets, chairs. I thought I had it all...you should see some of these baseball moms rolling up to the field! They're legit with fans, tents and more!

My favorite sign ever. More parents need to read it! Grady won't play for the Orioles in all likelihood (ha!) but we will support him in whatever he wants to do!

We are sort of back to it this week. Last week was rough. The decision, then the wait until Thursday. It was so rough. We miss him so much. It's empty in our house without him laying against the back door. We are learning our new normal.

Yesterday was also the first day of summer break and Bella is back with the kiddos...year 3 I think?!!! Molly Anne already had her hair braided and they were at the pool of course. I'm so happy they have a fun summer!
