Neighborhood Halloween Party

Happy Halloween!  Our neighborhood had their children’s Halloween party on Sunday afternoon and we had so much fun!

Rapunzel

And he frustrated fisherman!  Ha!  He was not pleased to have to sit still.

A little better here.  Kevin was standing directly to my left to catch him if he leaned forward!

The clubhouse was all decked out!

They always hire a DJ/entertainer that makes it super fun for the children!

And they do the cutest costume parade!

Lots of dancing!  Grady loved it!

Limbo!

It was a blast!  We are hoping Halloween doesn’t get rained out tonight!  And if it does, hopefully everyone will do it tomorrow night!!  Molly Anne is SO excited!

Last Weekend

Besties. He climbs up there and lays with mills now!

He is a good head rest. You can tell mills hates it.

I took them to our old neighborhood last Saturday morning because they have great trails there. We did a nature walk!  Molly Anne had talked about doing this at school so we went and did it...in pajamas!  We learned about all kinds of things (streams, different leaves, bridges, trees) and I felt like I was back in my Girl Scout camping days.  Camping to me at age 36 is at the Ritz though! ;) But I want my children to be well rounded and get lots of different experiences!

I forgot to put it on my blog but the weekend before, Drew took Maggie and Molly Anne to play putt putt, eat ice cream and play at his parents house.  Then they came back and played over at their house for another hour or two. It was during Grady’s nap so I felt like I won the lottery! Molly Anne had a blast and got to putt putt for her first time!

The one thing I really wanted to do last weekend was a peloton ride called Sundays with Love. It is live at 11:45am which is kind of an odd time but I put Grady down a little early and Kevin got Molly Anne to bed for nap.  My friend Jodie joined in Denver so we rode together virtually!  So glad we could do this ride together. It was a special one.

Ally Love high fived me!  Or maybe her people did it for her but that was cool!!

Next post I need to do is for our neighborhood Halloween party!  Then I’ll be caught up!

Molly Anne in action at school!

Ole mills!

These are pictures that Molly Anne’s teachers have posted!

Love seeing her in her element with friends!

A Week + Grady Walking

It has been a week.  And this post is a full picture dump on some of what's been going on here.

Last Friday our neighbors invited us over for pizza and hanging out in their amazing outdoor area.  Grady really started to cruise more and even got up in the middle of their patio and pushed a lawn mower.  I was so happy with this huge progress.  He had taken a step two weeks prior and a few days prior to this but this was even more exciting.

And he had his first smore!

Saturday morning Molly Anne enjoyed playing legos!  This is definitely her happy spot and I'm so glad our dining room has tranformed into her lego room!  She had a bunch of sets and we did each one but now all of the legos are just in a big bin and all over the table mixed up!  She creates all kinds of things from them.  She made an elementary school the other day she told me!

Our grass finally got cut after seeding it the last week of September.  Isn't it so pretty?  It's pretty this time of year and in May and that's about it!!  Ha!  Home ownership.

Saturday evening Kevin's parents came over (with dinner - that was a huge treat!) and got Grady walking!  So glad they were there for it!

Sunday morning I took Molly Anne to Carowinds for their pumpkin fest and to ride some rides!  We were only there for a little under two hours because it was a zoo!  But we had the best time!

Sweet boy.

I love his little hands under himself with the toosh in the air.  Molly Anne always did and still does nap like this!

Monday night I had a work dinner at The Palm with some friends in from out of town which was super fun!

Every day after school this week we've been outside!  It's been so nice out!  I love how Grady just climbed right on Mills and they looked out the window together!

The chair I had recovered came back! I love it!

Pumpkin buckets for Molly Anne's class.  They have their fall festival today so I took these in yesterday and most of the parents brought a little toy to put in each bucket!  They'll love bringing these home!  We also took pumpkin cookies and apple juice boxes for their little class party during lunch!  Their school has their own pumpkin patch and hayride which they'll do today!  That's what happens when you have 770 students haha.  No field trips needed!

Grady on one of our million miles walking this week!

My dear friend sent me this box of succulents from Lula's Garden as a thank you.  It made my week!  What an amazing gift right?!  I'll definitely be remembering this for future gifts!

Molly Anne's class made a scarecrow this week!

Our favorite - afternoons on our driveway playing with all of the toys in the garage!   Yesterday we drew five different hop-scotches in chalk, all different shapes and colors!  The little things yall...

Checking out Halloween decorations.  I also took each of them separately on a golf cart ride this week showing them the decorations in the hood.  Everyone here really goes all out!  Molly Anne loves it!  Even Grady squealed at a ghost or two!

Happy boy!

Anyway, this post was a bunch of things but yes, the best part - he can walk!  Now he has to choose to walk versus crawl which is so much faster for him.  It will come with time, but for now - I'm finally not worried for the first time in 17.5 months!!!

This Week

Umm let's see what went on this week.  Probably a million things that I'm not capturing here.

Molly Anne was able to get up another notch on the rope.  Kevin took her and snapped this picture!  So proud of her!

I took Mills to a new place to check out for boarding.  It's all golden retrievers and both of us were in heaven!  Of course he's between the owner's leg begging to be pet!

This was after haha!

Grady had a field day with the ice cream sundae bar at dinner on Wednesday night.  They had an Oktoberfest buffet that was super good and Grady enjoyed it all!  Molly Anne was off running around with some friends ha!

She and I had a little craft night last night.  We fixed a bunch of her bows that have broken clips and we also made this for her teacher who had to put her dog down.  I just got the frame from Home Goods and bought this printable off of Etsy and done.  I didn't have a paper cutter so it's not perfect and straight but I figure she'll replace it with a picture anyway!  We wrote her a nice note and took it all to her today.

She LOVES these rainbow leggings ($22!) that she got this year.  She wanted to wear her pink headband with them and I think she looks adorable in the outfit she put together!

Hope everyone had a nice week.  Of course these were just the highlights that I happened to have pictures of.  We've spent a lot of time outside after school doing all of the things! It's our favorite place to be so you'll know where to find us this afternoon ha!

Happy Friday!
