Christmas #1

We had Christmas with Kevin's family on Sunday night. It was very odd without his Mom. But we made the most of it. Had pizza and dessert then opened gifts.

Yesterday we went over to Sun City to see some trains and Grady loved it! He got to control them too. Very cool. 





Last night we had Christmas with Kevin's family! Pizza for dinner and cookies for dessert. Definitely different without Kevin's mom but made the best of it!

On Saturday Mills woke up and his eye is like this. His third eye lid covering a lot of his eye ball. I've already gone down the Google rabbit hole. Ughhh!! Hopefully it goes back to normal asap!

Billy Graham Library and Gingerbread Houses

Yesterday we went to the gingerbread houses at Ballantyne Hotel and also to the Billy Graham Library! We did a carriage ride and it was so fun, even with the 20 minute wait. We are in the spirit!

Loving Now

ONE - I've had these work pants or wear anytime pants on my radar this week. Looks like I need to try them! 

TWO - a good thing to put in your own stocking. I love these since they don't dent my hair. Also they call this color "seashell" so that's super cool. 

THREE - a classic black dress $188

FOUR - needed these socks to wear boots with. I love the free two day shipping anytime. 

FIVE - I'd wear these leggings any day! Must have pockets. 

Randoms

1. My kids are still loving our elf Achy. They're 6 and 9. Like everyone morning they are cracking up over him. It makes the spirit so alive!

2. Speaking of - Grady had a kid in his choir that told him Santa wasn't real. When Grady told me I told him, "what in the world?!" He was like, "I know, that's just crazy!"

3. I made two batches of fudge the other day and they're both dry. I'm so mad! Will try again this weekend. 

4. One of the best things I've done this year is teach Molly Anne how to wrap gifts. Last night she and I wrapped over 20 gifts for other family members. Nothing for our immediate family because I don't have my act together on that. But she LOVED helping me. And I felt soooo much better after we knocked all of that out. 

5. At the Toyota dealership this morning for an oil change. Always great timing on that...not! But I always do this when I have some work meetings on Teams so it shakes out. 

6. I have a few posts I want to write soon - how much capacity do I have. Career as a woman in your young 40's. And why I stay busy all of the time. 

Dad's Visit

My Dad came to visit last week for one night and we are sooooo glad he did! He came to surprise Molly Anne for her winter jam concert where she had a solo, It's Snow Fun! The next morning we got to surprise Grady being the mystery reader in his class! It was all SO fun! 

Of course Ms. Julie came AND brought her flowers. 



Cookie decorating night was great too!

He also gave Grady's teacher a new set of Dr. Seuss books for the classroom. So cool. 


Oh and we got to have lunch with Molly Anne too and see her classroom. 


Thankful for the caregivers that stayed with my mom so he could do this. Now we have to get him down here more often for these things!! 

Holiday Weekend

We had a big weekend.

Friday night was choir practice at church. 

Saturday was nails, tennis, birthday party then out for a fun party. 

Sunday was church concert, santa brunch then round two of the concert. 

Busy but good!

The kids and I surprised Kevin with the chocolate oatmeal cookies that his mom always made. 


Our annual Christmas nails date (and picture!) for Molly Anne and I. 


Spending time with our best buddy. 


Out for drinks and apps before a party. We went to North Italia and Postino.

Then Santa brunch - our favorite activity at the club. We made reservations at the same time as our other friends.
