Ready for Florida!

I'm ready for Florida!  We are heading out tomorrow morning to New Smyrna Beach!

Kevin and I are driving down a little later than everyone else.  The rest of the family arrived last Saturday but some of us had to stay back and work!

My Aunt and Uncle live there so we have all rented condos in their same building.  We are sharing with my cousin Laura, Carl and miss Amelia.

Can't wait to see everyone and enjoy some time off work!

Have a great week and see yall next week!

New Snack

I'm minorly obsessed with these veggie chips and garlic hummus from Trader Joes.  Yum and decently healthy.  What is your favorite healthy snack?

Perfume

In the summer, I love the Kate Spade perfume.  It is light and smells awesome but not overpowering.  I only have a little left so I'm saving every last drop for special occasions!
Another perfume I adore is Tocca - Florence.  My friend Lindsey had it and I definitely copied her and got it last May.  It is so airy and fresh.  Definitely a year round type of perfume.
For wintertime, I use Creed.  I looked for a bottle of it online but couldn't find it.  I've had it for a long time so it is possibly that scent is discontinued.

What are your favorite summer and winter perfumes?

Trip Wrap Up

Hey guys!  I missed being around but got a lot done on the road while I was working.  Very busy with lots of new deals so that is awesome!

The outlets weren't as great as I expected.  Their deals just weren't that fantastic.
Vineyard Vines definitely had some good stuff - men's polos for $39.99, belts for $29.99.  I got a pair of khaki shorts that I've needed forever for $29.99.  There was also a 3/4 sleeve shirt that was green and white striped that I got for $9.99.  Other than that, not a ton of selection and not crazy good deals.  Went to Tory Burch - they had a minor discount on the revas but not like a "oh my goodness I have to get these" discount.  Same with Williams-Sonoma.

I did have a pretty sweet rental car from Laguardia!
Got to Norfolk, VA yesterday and had a couple meetings nearby there.  Had about 30 minutes to spare and ran into a couple cute shops on the water.  This was the view from them.
Got back to Charlotte about 10pm last night and found these cute notes on my counter.  Kevin had made me breakfast, lunch and dinner for today and told me what was what.  How cute!  PS - yes, he calls me Lish.
I don't mind leaving for a night here and there but I do miss him when I'm gone!

Woodbury Commons

So who has been to Woodbury Commons outlets in Central Valley, New York?  AH-mazing.  Williams Sonoma, Vineyard Vines, Longchamp, Crate and Barrel.  It is worth a few minutes of your time to look at the store listing here.  Outlets I never knew existed.

I've been once in 2007 but I hadn't researched it enough to know what all was there.  This time, I'm very well prepared.  I circled all of the stores I want to go to on the center map so it will be very time efficient.  I only will have a couple hours.

You see, I am flying into Laguardia this morning for work and have a meeting tonight in Pennsylvania.  Then driving back to NJ so I can fly out early tomorrow morning to go to Norfolk, VA for a couple meetings.  I'll eventually make it back to Charlotte late tomorrow night.  It'll be a chaotic couple of days!

I'll be back Wednesday to catch up on your blogs!

Tax Free Weekend

Do you all ever have those nights where you just want to do your own thing?  Last night was that for me.  I needed to go up to Concord Mills (outlet mall) to pick up a couple things and I ended up getting stuck in there because it was raining SO hard.  I walked into Saks Off 5th and this dress was on the clearance rack only in my size.  Umm hello, I've loved you since you came out in 2009.  On sale for $137.99 from $328.
Not only was it on major sale, the clearance was buy one get one free. They also had a cute pair of flowy Lilly pants that would be perfect for a low key night at the beach.  The dress was missing some beading off the back near the neck and the most they would give me was 15% off and I didn't think I could get it fixed for the amount off so I passed.  I hope I don't regret that decision!!!  I could have had a $328 dress and also a pair of pants for $125 total.  Ahh, oh well, it must not have been meant to be.

Today starts Tax Free Weekend on clothes and school supplies in North Carolina.  The clothes have to be under $100 for a piece to get the tax off.  I also got an email from the lady in the Lilly department at Belk and they moved a rack from 40% off to 60% off so I may go over there at lunch if I have time.  I always think I'm going to get something but then I realize I shouldn't and need to save, save, save!  But it is fun to window shop!

Nail Polish

Hey Ladies (and Dad - you may just want to quit reading this post)!

I'm in the market for some new nail polish.  We are going to Florida in a couple weeks and I thought it would be fun to get a new bottle...much cheaper than a pedicure!  So I've always been an OPI gal....
...but I hear that essie stays on longer.  Have you heard the same?  What polish do you use?

Also - where do you get yours?  Obviously there is your typicaly drugstore (Walgreens, CVS, etc.) and Ulta typically has a coupon out for OPI.  Anywhere else have bargains?  I'm looking for a light coral color if yall know of any!

Do yall use colored polish on both your toenails and fingernails or just toenails?  I typically do color on my toenails and only paint my fingernails for special occasions.  Who knows how I came up with that philosophy though!  I'm anxious to hear your responses to my 20 questions - haha!
