Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Aren't these two the cutest Ariel and Minnie you've ever seen?

My nieces had a trial run for Halloween by dressing up for their Fall Festival.  Too cute!

I can't wait to hand out candy to all of our neighborhood kiddos.  Some of the bunko ladies are getting together in a cul-de-sac to hand out candy (and drink wine of course) so I'll be heading over there for part of the evening.

Wedding Wednesday - Exit Pictures

On Friday I showed you the video from our exit but now I have exit pictures to show you without the big ole Hooters sign in the background.  Thanks to our sweet wedding planner Alisa for calling our photographer to get these.  I had been asking for months but never got them...!  It's hard for some people to do what they say they're going to do.  Alisa, you're the best.

Here they are...

This may be our best picture of just Kevin and I from our entire wedding day.

Jungle Baby Shower!

On Saturday, we threw Kelly a baby shower in Cary, NC at Cafe 121 to celebrate her little boy that is due on January 10th!

Hand sanitizers were the favor so people come clean to meet her baby.

Our friend Kristen made all of the jungle animal crafts with her Cricut.

Lots of gifts!

The Mama to be in her non-maternity Lilly dress!  That must be what happens when you're teeny tiny!

This onesie was too cute and perfect for a NC State baby - "I only cry when Tarheels hold me"  Our imaginary child will have one of these!

Suz, Sarah, Rhiannon, Cheryl.

Her church girls.

Grandmama to be!

Kelly and Meghan.

The hostesses.  I'm holding my right arm around our friend Beth who couldn't be there.  She moved to Massachusetts at the end of August.

Chi O's.

It was a wonderful day celebrating Kelly and her baby!

Weekend!

The Weekend.  Let's get right down to it.

Friday night we met Kevin's parents at Rippington's for some french onion soup.  Delish and about the only thing I could eat since I did end up getting the Mexican flu or so I like to call it.  Cipro has since saved my life.

Saturday morning I went up to Raleigh to help throw a baby shower for my bestest.  It deserves a full recap but here is a preview!

On my way back from Raleigh, Kevin texted me and said we should do something fun tonight.  Don't have to ask me twice.  So a hot date it was.  Once I got home around 5pm, we played in the yard with Mills for awhile then got cleaned up.  Tony came and grabbed us around 7:15 and took us to a new place for dinner - Blackthorne.  We were really impressed.  They also had live music in the bar.

We started with fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese.  Oh my..!

He had shrimp, scallops and grits!

And I had the most delicious pot pie I've ever had in my life.  For the record, it was worth the bazillion calories that was in it!

We moved back into the bar area and listened to the band a little more.  Tony came and got us and we headed over to Bradshaws and met up with a co-worker of mine.  Good times.

Sunday, I had to play catch up on my life.  I cleaned floors, grocery shopped, walked Mills, watched football with Kevin, cooked meals for this week.  Things I needed to do for my own sanity.  I only talked to my parents, Kevin and Mills and it was amazing.

Today, it's back to the grind and I'm glad for that too.  I only have a day trip this week so I get to sleep in my own bed 5 nights in a row.  I can't remember the last time this happened!  No complaints here!

Five on Friday - Wedding Video and More

Linking up with April, Christina and friends!

1.  My Dad surprised me with this video this week.  One of my cousins took this from the hotel of our exit from the reception.  Her husband had been sick so that's why they were back at the hotel.  I LOVE THIS VIDEO and I'm thankful for it!

2.  Throwing a baby shower for my bestest tomorrow in Raleigh.  Cannot wait to celebrate her baby boy on the way!

3.  Today is one year since we closed on our home!  I cannot believe it's already been a year!!!  We have done so much to it but still have more to do!  Baby steps!

4.  Last year we closed on our home and moved, this year we have been busy going to weddings and doing other things on the weekend so I haven't made pumpkin bread in two years.  I WILL do it before November 1st......oh that's by next week.  Ha.  We'll see.

5.  Have you all stocked up on Halloween candy yet?  I got 4 huge bags at Target.  I cannot believe we spend that kind of money on CANDY, but we can't be the shabby new neighbors!  :)

Mexico - Brad and Shauna's Wedding

Last Friday we went down to Mexico for Brad and Shauna's wedding.  Brad stood up with us in our wedding and is one of Kevin's very best friends.  We couldn't wait to be there for their big day!

Yes I'm crazy and went to the Bahamas one weekend then Mexico the next.  We got back from Mexico on Tuesday night and then I flew up north for work, where I am now.

On Friday when we got to Dreams Tulum, they had a cocktail hour to welcome the 21 attendees.

The adorable couple!

I did go prepared with a case of water, a prescription of Cipro and food for 5 days, just in case.  My stomach has a bad reputation in Mexico...TMI.  But the water was FABULOUS to have.  Highly recommend.

Kevin, Rob and Brad.  Triple trouble.  Then you add Brad's Dad in and you have chaos.  These boys have grown up together and are still best friends.

This was the relaxation pool where we spent a lot of time.

And we were on the beach quite a lot.  I'm more tan now than I was in July ha!

On their wedding day, Shauna was super sweet and invited me to come to the spa with she and her friends.  It was so fun, champagne included of course!

Isn't her hair beautiful?

I did get my hair did too.  Kevin hated the front but was okay with the back.  He was really funny about it.

Brad with his parents.  They are so sweet.

The back of her dress!

They are such a nice couple.  We really love hanging with them.

This is the lil chapel they got married in!

Rob and Erin, Kevin and I at their cocktail hour.

This picture is funny for a lot of reasons.  1.  Their mothers probably never thought they'd get married.  They are both late bloomers.  2.  The way they are holding their hands is umm... and 3.  They ended up with very similar rings.  Kevin's is a little thinner and has ridging on the sides.

Rob is up next!

Shauna was so gorgeous!

Then we all went to the Italian place called Portofinos where they had a dinner for us in the wine cellar.  It was really cool!

I love this picture of them.

It was a beautiful wedding and we're SO happy for the Mr. and Mrs.!

Sunday and Monday were very similar days.  Get up, breakfast, pool and beach all day, dinner at night.  No complaints here!  Sunday we went back to Portofinos with Erin and Rob for a double date.

Dancing afterward.  We loved Hector in the middle!

And on Monday, Kevin and I went to the sushi and asian restaurant by ourselves.
Tuesday we got up and walked the beach and headed to the airport.  Another fun wedding in the books!  Thank you to Shauna, Brad and their families for a wonderful time!
