Weekend

I'm counting down the days until my child is completely healthy and my part human dog doesn't need physical therapy multiple times a day.  We are nearing the end of that and maybe for the first time in four months we will get a little break on life.  Mills will still require minor things each day but nothing as time consuming as it has been.  WHEW.  Keeping up with medicines for these two children has been interesting.

These first few pictures are from late last week.  I love this one of Molly Anne.  She is so into her bunny these days.  It's adorable.

Friday she came to work with me for a couple hours.

Friday night cuddles with Mr. Mills.

He is just soooooo sleepy!

Saturday morning I decided to take Molly Anne to Dunkin Donuts for a special treat since she had been such a big girl all week.  She had been to Urgent Care and the ER on Sunday, pediatrician on Monday and again on Friday.  In total, she had pink eye, croup which turned into a double ear infection.  Basically she had one big virus that took over her little body.  But she was SOOO good at every appointment and could not have been sweeter or more mannerly to everyone that helped her.  Proud Mama!  As of Friday, she was officially on the mend with no more fever.

We still were very low key all weekend and didn't take her anywhere.  Saturday morning we took a long family walk just to get out of the house a little bit.

Saturday night we went to a friend's birthday party and then went to Blackfinn to hang out.  They had a live band which was cool.

Sunday morning we ventured to the produce market to get some veggies and fruit for the week.  Bunny also came with us! ;)

Whenever I come home from there, I wash and chop everything immediately to prep for the week.  It helps me so much later on.

After nap, she requested a wagon ride and a popsicle.  Done!  We wanted to go to the pool but instead decided to give her more downtime just for good measure.

We finished off our weekend with a quiche, green beans and a salad.  I think tomorrow I'm going to post some quick meals I've been getting on the table.

  1. So glad MA is on the mend!! At least she took it all in stride, nothing like a cranky toddler on top of sickness. That bunny is so cute, I love seeing kids toting their stuffed animals around. So glad y'all had a good weekend and you and Kevin were able to sneak out for a bit!

  2. We're coming to Charlotte this weekend for the PGA (SO psyched) and are staying in an AirBNB slightly south of downtown - near the Bland Lightrail Station? Any super cool breweries or restaurants you know if that area we must hit? Thanks!!
