Five on Friday - Boo, Birthday, House

It ended up being a pretty busy week around here.

ONE:
We got BOO'd and we BOO'd others!  Anyone else surprise a family with Halloween treats?  Molly Anne about lost her mind both times, she was so excited!

How adorable are these flowers?  Love love.  I have creative friends!

TWO:
We celebrated our dear friend's birthday this week with lunch at 131 Main!  We love our Sarah and I'm so glad we were all together to celebrate our friend who does SO much for others!

THREE:
Two other big punchlist items got completed this week - they added more dirt to our back yard to help where irrigation lines were run.  And Ronnie our favorite mason worked on the mortar on our front and back stairs.

FOUR:
We've had a rough week but on Wednesday I got a really good report from her teachers about sleeping, choosing the friends she played with wisely and using her helping hands!  So we went straight to TCBY after I picked her up from school.  I'm trying to do a lot of positive reinforcement and less getting in trouble! ;)  Always a balance right mamas?

FIVE:
This sweet boy.  My goodness we've had a time with the band for his head.  He got a second one on Tuesday and yall - this one didn't work either.  Overnight on Tuesday night it kept going forward, making another mark on the top of his nose and it's not supposed to move that much.  And if yall could have heard his pain cries.  Nope, not doing it any more.  We tried and we tried twice.  I'm done.  No band for Grady.  He doesn't deserve to be put through this.  I'm feeling mostly peace about our decision but this was one of those Mama decisions that was HARD.

  2. You go MA! Toddler-school-big sibling life is an adjustment.

  3. Not sure if you have looked into this, but we avoided a band with my daughter by taking her to a therapist for cranialsacral therapy. Her head isn't perfect (but neither is mine) but it's worlds better and it wasn't painful and all and was covered by insurance! Worth looking into if you still have concerns.

  4. I’m sorry the band didn’t work out. That sounds so stressful, but it sounds like you made the right decision. Also, yay for MA having a good day at school!
