Labor Day Weekend

Well, back to reality today! Work, school and all of the other things!

Friday after school we headed to the beach. Traffic wasn’t terrible so that was a nice surprise. On the way home yesterday was a different story. It took us an extra 50 min to get home than it usually does!

Friday night we headed to the concert for a few and watched The Extraordinares and they were amazing! Definitely one of the better bands that comes to OIB!

Our friends Brad and Shauna and their three children arrived! Then our other friends boated over to see us which was so fun! We all hung out on the dock for awhile!

Shauna and I got all 5 kiddos (ages, 6 months, 2, 4, 5, 7) to the beach by 9am, by ourselves. Just saying haha! Cheers!

The kiddos had a great time playing!

We had a large piece of real estate on the beach. It ended up being 7 families hanging out together and a zillion kids. Good times!

The older girls got to watch a movie while the littles napped.

Then we headed to Steve and Ariel’s for dinner!

They were the hostesses with the mostess!

Hanging on Mr. Drew’s boat

And playing in the back yard while the mamas sat on the patio with wine and cocktails. Pretty perfect I must say!

Sunday morning I got up and ran down to the farthest east end and back, to see the sun rise. I’ve wanted to do this for awhile and honestly didn’t set out to run that far but it just sort of happened and I’m glad it did. It was beautiful and so nice to be out and about early in the morning.

Shauna and I took the kids and mimosas to the playground! Mimosas because we are smart haha!

Then to the arcade!

Nap time consisted of hanging on the canal with the big kids and docktails! Got those cute cups at Swoozies.

We had some visitors and had a great time.

Then we went out for a fancy dinner at Jinks!

Cutie Reece!

Kevin and Brad have grown up together. They are the best of friends. Simply, good ole friends. Ya know?

We celebrated Kellie’s birthday a little early at Hilary’s with cake and Jell-O shots ha! Love these friends of mine.

The boys hanging!

It was a fabulous weekend full of special memories and good times!
