Day 5 - Shanghai

We arrived in Shanghai on Saturday and all of the guys were at baggage claim and the ladies stood back and chatted.  The friendships we make on these trips are really special.  We can all bond because we all know what we go through day to day.  It's nice to have a sounding board.

They bussed the Inner Circle Elite folks to downtown Shanghai and had a special check in area for us at The Peninsula Hotel.  Super swanky.  Super nice.  Best views of the skyline.

Unfortunate that it rained this day.

They had a cocktail hour/welcome reception for us on the top floor.

This was the lobby where Chanel was.  Low class ha.

We walked over to the shuttle buses and they took us about 45 minutes away to the cruise ship that we were about to board for 7 nights.

After more passport checks than you can imagine, we got right on the cruise.  Celebrity Millenium.  This was a chartered cruise, only for Kevin's company.  And thank goodness - they shipped food in from America!!!!!

Officially on board.

We found our room in the Aqua class on the top floor and settled right in.  They were kind enough to leave us with a bottle of champagne and a bottle of red wine.

I've never been on a cruise before and never will go on one again that we pay for.  But I think this room was pretty decent size from what I hear from others.  It really wasn't terrible...especially after a whole pack of used Clorox wipes.  I know I'm crazy but that's how I roll if we are staying in a space for 7 nights and it isn't the Waldorf or Ritz.

We unpacked and I looked down at all of my shoes and said holy moley I guess I'm smart every now and then.  I brought all neutrals.  Can't go wrong!

We were excited to see what Shanghai and the rest of the cruise brought.  Stay tuned.

  1. So, I was thinking last night. How in the world do you get so much time off from your job for all these fabulous trips??
I only get 4-weeks vacation and that's considered good! Looks amazeballs.
