Five on Friday

Today I wanted to take a break from vacay recaps and join the girls for 5 on Friday!

1.  I'm SO happy to be home finally after being gone for basically 3 weeks.  We got back in town last Saturday from Europe, Sunday we drove to Virginia to get Mills, Monday through Wednesday night late I have been in West Virginia.  All good times but I'm glad to be home!

2.  The perfect weekend is beginning - fancy schmancy work dinner tonight, walking Mills every day this weekend, farmer's market and major meal planning.

3.  I've told y'all I haven't cooked since before our wedding in April.  This weekend I'm getting up on it and nothing will hold me back.  I've got to get back to it - it's something I enjoy and also healthier meals that Kevin and I need instead of going out.

4.  Speaking of, I jumped on the My Fitness Pal wagon this week after gaining way too much weight in Europe.  I've already lost 5 pounds in five days and I'd like to lose 5 more to get back to where I was at our wedding and 5 more after that just because I'd like to.  I'm on a mission my friends.  You do not even realize what you're eating unless you write it down and see how many calories are going into your body.  It's INSANE!

5.  The cooler weather in West Virginia made me feel like college football is almost here.  Cannot wait!  I will never wish summer away (it's my fav!) but I'm always excited for the next season, aren't you?!

Happy Friday!!!

  7. stoppin by from the link up! you should check out www.skinnytaste.com, she has such yummy recipes that are on the healthier side and easy to make :) I have yet to make a recipe from there that I don't like (or that my fiance doesn't like!)

  8. I need to be better about My Fitness Pal - it is such a good way of realizing how it all adds up (and how important exercise is to level it out)!

  9. I started using My Fitness Pal and it was helpful and then I fell off the wagon...you have motivated me to get back on track with using it! Have a great weekend!

  10. We are trying to get back into cooking too. It's so easy to get into the habit of going out. I also find myself thinking every meal I cook has to be gourmet, when in reality, sometimes you're just going to make grilled cheese for dinner!

Way to go on the 5 pounds!
