Wedding Wednesday - Make Up

From the beginning, I thought it was OUTRAGEOUS to spend over $100 on makeup for one day.  Actually, I still do.  But I'm coming to terms with it.

It's funny because I'm totally on board with making sure my hair is perfect.  And even that will be covered up by a veil for the ceremony.  But whatever.  I'm just a stickler on my hair.

thank you google images for this picture

Back to makeup.  I started getting lessons at Clinique so I thought I could do it instead of spending the money.  Yall I'm terrible at makeup, especially eyes.  I don't wear a lot of it and it isn't something I spend 30 minutes on every day.

So I reached out to a lot of people and I found a gal that will come to wherever we are getting ready.  Her prices for my girls and I are reasonable so I'm excited about that.  And her work looks fabulous!  Kymm with Who's the Fairest is who I went with.

The best part - we can all just sit around getting pampered and I don't have to worry that my makeup won't be perfect, because it will be!  Pictures are forever!

  1. Oh my goodness I am so glad to know I'm not the only girl out there who is terrible at eye makeup! I really only wear mascara on a daily basis, so when I actually do where eyeshadow/liner it takes me forever and I'm never super confident I know what I'm doing!

Getting someone to come do makeup (and hair) for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day made getting ready so much easier! So glad you found someone you like!

  2. I've always been awful with eye makeup, but somehow I think I have gotten a little better. Not great, but better. I never really know which color needs to go where on the eye. It will be worth it to pay someone to do it for you. :)

  3. GREAT CHOICE! She is one of the best in Charlotte. And you will LOVE getting pampered that day and not having to stress about eyeliner, eyelashes, and blending your blush correctly. Not to mention the pros know how to make you look beautiful both on camera and in person.

    Cheers!

  4. Go for it girly! I'm terrible at hair and makeup so I schedule to have it done for my wedding too. It's nice to know you are in the hands of a professional.

  6. How exciting! It'll also be extra relaxing to know that you're in good hands and don't need to worry about makeup for yourself or bridesmaids. Are you all getting ready at home or a hotel?
