Dinners, Pool Party, Going Away Party

On Friday night Kevin picked me up from work and we headed down to meet his parents and brother for dinner at Cantina 1511.  It was tasty mexican as always!

Saturday morning I got up early for a run.  Ended up getting 8 miles in so that was good.  I had bought some new gear on Friday at lunch and it worked perfectly.  I got an under armour tank and compression shorts.  They were so much cooler and really helped.  The blisters on my feet on the other hand were not so hot.  I wore really old shoes (I know, not good) because the ones that were "fit to me and my running style" made me not able to walk!  Once my blisters are better, I will go get new shoes, promise!
That afternoon, the Avenue had a pool party with a band and hamburgers and hot dogs.  It was fun to socialize with all of our neighbors!

We went up early to get ready for dinner with Kevin's parents and another couple at Ruth's Chris.  They were all downtown for the Panthers game that night!  It was an amazing meal!

After that we went to Strike City for a going away party for one of our neighbors who is moving to Canada for work.  Charles is the guy with his arms raised.  Such a nice guy.  We're going to miss him!

After everyone else left Strike, some of us went over to Mortimer's and ended up seeing a bunch of Kevin's guys from the bank and some other friends.  We hung out for a bit there then headed home.
Yesterday we laid pretty low.  I walked to the grocery store at one point but otherwise we really didn't do much.  It was a recovery day haha!  We watched the CMA Fest last night....did anyone else?!  I was disappointed Carrie wasn't there but loved seeing everyone else perform.

What was the best part of your weekend?

  3. Wow! You had a fun and good weekend.

My weekend was very memorable because last sunday was my youngest sister's birthday and all members of the family were there.

Seldom to happen. It' like a reunion.
