Wedding Wednesday - Hotel Gift Bags

Let's talk hotel gift bags!

We all love getting these when we go to out of town weddings, don't we?

My favorite bags have waters, advil (ha!) and snacks in it.

So that's exactly what we are going to do for our out of town guests.

I can't spill all the details of ours but they'll include a snack from both Maryland (where I grew up) and North Carolina (where Kevin grew up).  I'm getting little tags made to hang from them and also I'm working on an itinerary which will have all of the events for the weekend with a map on one side and the other side will have a list of Kevin's and my favorite uptown places - drinks, food, great views etc.

Tell me your favorite gift bag item so we can all get new, good ideas!

  1. Bandaids. I also ordered a monogrammed small sewing kit that resembled a matchbox. Always a hit. One friend had a cd of the couples fav. Songs. Great cd and a nice personal touch.

Oh and chocolate. def. some chocolate.

  2. I totally agree with snacks and waters - to keep from having to pay absurd prices to get them out of the hotel vending machine. I always love wedding gift bags but we didn't do gift bags for our wedding since almost every single guest was staying at one of our three hotels...and the hotels charged $1 per bag to deliver them.

  4. My favorite gift bags were my own! I loved including snacks from VA and a postcard from our little city so people could have a favor of the town they visited since most of our guests were out of town.

  7. We put waters and snacks in ours! We also had maps and information about local places to check out. I somehow found the time to bake dozens of cookies to put in little boxes for the bags before the wedding, too!

  8. Hotel welcome bags are the best! I did a Georgia theme with mine. I always love when there are snacks local to the are or where the bride and groom are from, which is what you're doing :) An itinerary is also handy!
