Jack Rogers

Has anyone had any trouble with their Jack Rogers?  Last weekend I noticed that in the front of one of my platinum sandals, it is splitting in half from the bottom of the shoe.

I called Nordstrom yesterday and they said the shoes are only supposed to last one season (ladies, don't tell your boys this!  :)).

I let her know that I had two other pairs that I've had much longer than my platinums and they are still perfect.

She said to bring them in and show them to a manager to see if maybe these were defective.  So that's what I'll do today.

My friend Kelly also is having a problem with her black wedges, they are cracking on the bottom in the middle of the shoe.  Very weird.

Have yall had any trouble with your Jacks?

Happy Friday friends!

The only problem I've had with mine is the little piece of leather on the heel peeling up, which can be glued down. Good luck!

My sister has a few pairs and trust me they are more than one year old.
They are a bit expensive to last just one season.

i don't have a pair, but i am horrible to my shoes. i must walk funny so i destroy the heels on my shoes. and i hate it because most of my shoes only last a year or so.

I've never heard the one season line before. Most of my cousins and I have sandals(incl. Jacks) that have lasted way more than 1 season.

Have you tried a shoe repair shop? They may be able to fix the sole for you.

I have worn mine so much that the leather on the underside of the top of the shoe has worn out. Both of the colored pieces have come off on the heel pads of the shoe too. I'm still wearing them, though. I love them!!! Mine are platinum. I guess next year I better get another pair for sure. Love & blessings from NC!

Jack Rogers are imitations & not as well made as the orignal Stephen Bonannos. http://www.stephenbonanno.com/

They also explain the differences on their blog:

Okay, first off the person who you spoke with at Nordstroms probably has NO idea what you were talking about! Seriously, one season - yeah, right! WHATEVER!! I have a few pairs that are over 10 years and they still going strong! Then again I live in Chicago and don't wear mine all year long.

No, I haven't had any problems with ANY of my pairs of Jack Rogers. I love them, plus my Bonanno's! I am still waiting for my 15th pair to arrive!!!!!!!!! ....anyday now! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Yall make me feel so much better! I'm definitely going to go to Nordstrom in hopes of them giving me a new pair. ;) If not, I'll be stopping by the shoe repair shop. I have a couple pairs that are 4 years old instead of 2 years like these. Craziness! :)

Buy Bonannos to replace them! They last FOREVER.

I agree that is ridiculous! My target shoes last multiple seasons so my pricey Jack Rogers should do the same!

I work at a shoe store in MHC & we sell Jacks. We send them back whenever we have issues like that & have never given anyone the "one season" line. I just sent about 10 pairs from our store with defects like that for them to either repair or replace. Interestingly, most of them were the Platinum flat - must have been a bad production line on those. Nordstrom should definitely do something for you! Basically, the issue is that JR has grown so much & become so popular in the past two years that they are having issues keeping up with the demand.

oh, and they will also re-sole them for you for $25 or so. Much better than buying a new pair if the tops look good!

I wear Bonannos, rather than Jacks, but lots of my girlfriends do wear Jacks. A few of them have had some problems (like yours), so thanks for posting about it. I will share Marian's response with them :)
