Four on Friday

Been a wild back to school week. Just been great getting back into the swing of things.

one - lots of bike riding around the hood. She's so grown up on her 26" bike!

two - a good report from his oncologist this week. A little scare with a large aorta on his heart but all good.

three - a class project this week. She is quite the artist. That's a key chain from the camp they love so much.

four - a project site I traveled to this week to check out. Paint is coming soon! Always fun to bop around in the dirt. Also, toured a few other markets and going to get some new deals cranking. Commercial real estate development is fun!

Have a nice weekend!

Athletic and Chill Finds

ONE - this tank is a major favorite right now. It's not for sweaty working out. It's more for hanging out or lifting or yoga. But it's soooo comfortable and flattering and $39. I love the blue too.

TWO - this is the softest material of all times. I probably will end up snagging this bone colored sweatshirt. It will be an amazing basic to have this Fall and Winter.

THREE - ahhh and these ribbed leggings that are super fun.

FOUR - I picked up this tee this week because the gal told me it can be worn to work with a long cardigan or tucked into jeans. Super versatile shirt. I like that it's not see through and it's a dressier material. I'm excited to have this.

FIVE - my cutie girlie in her athletic clothes when she had PE this week! Tank // Skirt (our very fav for girls)

Tuesday - air fried chicken patties from the freezer, fresh corn (cut the bottoms off then microwave for 5 minutes) and strawberries that Julie had cut for us (I love her and am so glad she is back!)
Thursday - leftovers or winging it with something from the freezer

Easy Weekend

Well, today is the first day of school here in Charlotte. I'm so excited for Molly Anne and Grady to be back. They're both excited too. It'll be nice to have a routine again! The countdown to 2pm is on when they get out and I can hear all about it!

Friday the kids came to work with me. They love getting to go there and had waited all summer for their chance!

Then açaí bowls at Green Brothers. We happened to see the lady that did physical therapy for both of them when they were younger and had torticollis! It was great to see her.

Playing outside in the beautiful weather. Molly Anne had her first swim practice that night.

Saturday morning haircut for Molly Anne! She goes to Ragan at Modern Salon and Spa. Ragan is sooo good with her.

Also on Saturday Grady had his first intermediate machine pitch practice. His new team seems like it's going to be great! It was 1.5 hours long and he was so tired afterward!

Then we celebrated Kevin's dad's birthday. They had smoke pit for dinner and he had some friends join. It was fun!

Sunday we laid low and regrouped for the week ahead. Molly Anne went with our neighbors to their church for Blessing of the Backpacks. Kevin, Grady and I went on a long walk in the hood. Then lots of pool time next door! Early bedtimes for a big day today!

Five on Friday

ONE - we got to go to one of our favorite babysitter's field hockey games this week! She is an awesome player. Brought back memories of me being on the field 25 years ago.

TWO - went to see one of my projects in eastern NC this week. I left Charlotte at 7am and was back before noon. Loved the quickness!

THREE - Mills turned 12 yesterday! We always make him a peanut butter and goodie cake! Molly Anne made it for him this year.

FOUR - the kids had open house at school yesterday to meet their teachers and see their classrooms! It's going to be a great year.

FIVE - we went to lunch yesterday at Tacos 4 Life. It was so good. Then to the mall to find a back to school outfit. For Molly Anne only, because Grady doesn't care or want any of that. Here is was at Bath and Body Works. Hates the smell of it all. "Girl place!"

Happy last weekend before school starts here in Charlotte!

Maryland Part Two - National Aquarium, County Fair, Ocean City

Last Thursday, my Dad and I took the kids to Baltimore (about a two hour drive) to visit the National Aquarium. It was awesome! Molly Anne said she learned a lot when we were on the way home.

The dolphins were probably the highlight!

Grady got a parrot that he named Max from the gift shop. Molly Anne got a tracking dolphin bracelet and a cardboard sea turtle that she put together. Grady really wanted a picture in front of the megladon shark mouth!

We stopped in Kent Narrows for dinner at the Fisherman's Crab Deck. It was soooo pretty and such a good vibe there. Grady liked the half and half crab soup - a little boy that has good taste!!

My dad and grady checking the boats out!

Delicious soft shell crab sandwich! Probably the best orange crush I've ever had.

Daddy arrived on Friday!

And Molly Anne got to work with our neighbor and friend at her shop! Fun fact - I used to work at this consignment shop. Molly Anne LOVED helping Mrs. B. for a bit!

We stopped by the County fair!

They even had a high school rodeo

On Saturday we headed to Ocean City. We had lunch at Fagers Island. They have the best French onion soup. And strawberry daiquiris. And orange crushes.

Then we stopped by Aunt Jenni and Uncle Franks house in Fenwick Island, Delaware. They just built an awesome house there! These two played in the pool and the adults chatted.

Jenni's mom and my mom were first cousins. Their moms were sisters.

The best!

Saturday night we went to Suicide Bridge for Mom's birthday dinner. It's an amazing restaurant on Cabin Creek which is just off the Choptank River. The views are gorgeous! These two got to have their dessert at the upstairs bar and watch a baseball game that Grady was super into.

The birthday girl! We had crab dip on Sunday night which was her actual birthday before dinner at Caesars pizza palace (another amazing spot). We ate well, can you tell?! Ha.

That Poppa love!

Oh and we went back to the County fair on Sunday for some more rodeo fun ha! This time we took my Mom!

Yesterday we made the long haul back - record time in 8 hours on the dot with only one stop for food, bathroom and gas. Win win win! Two tired boys! We were sad to leave my parent's house as usual.

Back to the grind. Last week before school starts!
