Land End Customer Service

Well, I wanted to follow up on my Favorite Towel post I wrote in August 2013.

After that post I was convinced I should try the Macy's Hotel Collection.  I did for our guest bath but my parents didn't love them and after a few uses, one of the bath towels had shredded along the side.  I took them back to Macy's and the two ladies I talked to said it must have just been that towel because they never get complaints.  No hard feelings, but I just asked for my money back on both sets I had bought.

I went back to my trusty ole Lands End towels.  I was able to get them 30% off which was good.  Kevin wasn't thrilled about almost $300 in towels but we needed 4 sets and let's be honest, after the bathroom renovation, what was $300?!

I ordered navy ones for our guest bath with just a plain G on them.  And in our household, we like the bath sheet, not the bath towel.  We aren't small people! ;)

And Kevin wasn't really interested in hot pink/coral towels so he chose navy and I decided to be different and get the coral.  Both look good in our bathroom and my coral ones brighten things up.  We had been using towels with my old monogram and from college so new towels were very necessary!

When I got my coral towels, I had them monogrammed in navy and the bath sheet looked okay but the hand towel had a different color blue.  I called Lands End customer service and they said absolutely no problem at all, we will send you a new one.  I told them I wasn't in love with the navy monogram on the bath sheet and I prefered white but that was completely my fault.  They said again, no problem at all, we'll replace it at no charge.  So they sent me two newly monogrammed towels and I took the wrong one and the one I didn't like back to our local Sears.

Sears couldn't have been more kind either.  They took monogrammed towels back, no question.

I LOVE Lands End!  And I love our new towels!

Just thought I'd tell everyone about something good and positive that has happened lately!

  1. That's great! They look super cute too. I love it when you can experience good customer service. I don't buy from Land's End very much, but I've always had a positive experience.

  2. That's awesome! It is so worth it to pay for quality...how often do we buy towels, right?

  3. Love the colors! I've had a similar experience with Lands End. I ordered some crew neck shirts and had them monogrammed. One was fine and the others placement was way off. I didn't expect anything but called anyway and they happily did it over. Such a nice surprise! Frontgate is another one with great customer service.

  4. Very nice! I do love that coral. Eventually we will need to do this too, since we have a hodgepodge currently. It's very difficult convincing the hubby though since he pretty much used threadbare towels before I moved in.

  6. I loved your original post about these towels and I'm excited to hear that you still love them. The towels that we received as wedding gifts have never been my favorite and I think Land's End is the way to go when we replace them. Love the recommendation!

  8. I LOVE Lands End -- I've found some really cute, high quality clothing and shoe staples there in the past few years -- at MUCH better prices than J. Crew and the like!

  11. It is so hard to find great customer service these days, and I'll definitely be ordering my next set of towels (I'm due for new ones this fall) from them! We've always had Lands End Towels at my parents' house, and I decided to get some "cute" ones from Marshalls when I got my own place. Big mistake. Huge.
