July 4th Weekend

Whew, what a July 4th weekend.  Here is the gist of the last week.

I'm not sure what day this picture was taken last week, but I like it.

We took Mills one night to TCBY.  He was obsessed.  The more attention he gets, the better, in his eyes.

Thursday night we were invited were invited to watch fire works with some friends!  Sarah ended up having her baby Gigi 36 hours later, on July 5th!

Melt my heart!

The weather was a bit iffy at the end of the evening but they still set the fireworks off.

Dad was in the hospital with Mom so we FaceTimed so he could see fireworks this year!

Our neighbors were there!

It was pouring as they ended!

Friday, July 4th, we went to the local parade with Kevin's parents and his niece.

Parade gets packed!  It was a gorgeous day, not too hot!

We went home and got cleaned up and took Kevin's jeep to their club for a cookout lunch!

Then we picked up lil Mills at home and took him for his first ride in the jeep around the neighborhood.  We think he liked it!

Look at my lil nieces on their dock on July 4th!

Saturday morning came early and I flew up to Baltimore to see my Mom, still in ICU.  My friend from Charlotte, Emily, has a twin sister Maggie that works at Hopkins.  She was SUPER sweet and came to visit my parents and I when she could have left work early on a weekend.  Extremely kind.  She said she knew how hard it was to have a family member in the hospital.  Thank you Emily and Maggie!

Maggie suggested that Dad and I have dinner at The Boathouse in the Canton area of Baltimore and it was awesome.  This was the view.

Cream of Crab.

Tuna for Dad, Crab Cake for me.  Well deserved.  Dad hadn't eaten basically all week.  He stayed with my Mom at all hours.

I came back to Charlotte yesterday.  Ready for a good week!  How was your weekend?
