OIB Easter Weekend and Tooth Fairy

Whew! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! I'm still recovering! It was busy at the end of last week! Here are some pictures.

Of course my parents brought down a Smith Island cake. Anyone else had one?! They're the best ever. 



We were hanging out in the living room and these two are just over there giggling together, it was cute!

Eating Poppa's eggs with Poppa. Poppa's eggs are eggs mixed very well so no white showing, ground black pepper and a lot of sharp cheddar cheese melted in. My kids request them a few days a week ha!


Kevin and my Dad went to my brother's house for a flounder tournament so Mom and I took the kids to the OIB park for their Bunny Hop event! It was cute but very crowded.







My two loved the fire fighter's drones the best of all and they even got to push the button for one to take off and to land it. The OIB firefighters are beyond amazing with the children on the island.

We met Kevin and my Dad there for a drink on the outdoor patio before getting our table. 




Our dinner was so delicious. Kevin and I had blackened grouper with a crab sauce on top. Oh and we started with an heirloom tomato and burrata salad over arugula. Dad had the halibut which I may have preferred, it was so good too. Mom had deviled crab stuffed flounder. But the big event...

Molly Anne lost her first tooth while we were waiting for dinner to arrive. She pulled it right out. She kept saying that Nannie helped her with it because Nannie told her to twist it to pull it out. It was cute and we were all so happy for her!


She was so proud and happy! And yes, this was Easter Eve so our house was going to be busy with the Tooth Fairy AND the Easter bunny!



We wrapped up the night with orange crushes with some friends from Charlotte - Sam and Morgan. My office is next to Sam's at work and we like hanging with them in OIB.

Dresses

I wore this dress to work on Monday and had gotten 4 compliments before noon! I like that it's long enough to wear to work (I'm 5'7") and I can wear it out as well. It's super comfortable.

This is a great dress for a hot summer day. Classic and easy. 

I got this dress because I loved the bow detail on an otherwise simplistic dress. I like how the shoulder straps are sewn together then the bow on top of that, if I'm making sense. That way someone can't just slip by and untie your dress!

Molly Anne’s Field Day

Molly Anne had the best time at her school field day on Friday! It was a beautiful day and the PE teacher did such a wonderful job with the planning. He has the middle school kids come over and help with each station. It was super cute. Kevin and I were both so glad to be there to watch! These are the things I never want to miss because of work and thankfully I don’t!! Anyway, so glad Molly Anne had a blast! I remember when I was growing up that field day is the best day ever and now she does too!

Grady's Easter Parade

Grady's school's Easter parade is one of the cutest things of all times. Again, file this under items that don't happen at a normal daycare. Each class (daycare and preschool) dresses up and has a parade throughout the church for all of the parents and grandparents to watch. It's ADORABLEEEEEEE times a million!!!

This year they were Lambs of God! It was sooooo sweet and I'm glad we could be there to watch him! These are the important things. Of course Molly Anne wanted me to pull her out of school to watch him just like she wanted me to for his Christmas pageant but she doesn't get taken out of school for such things!! I told her we would video him and show her right when she got home! I think because she remembers doing it when she was there so it's extra special to her! :)

Weekend - Egg Hunt, 40th Party and Masters Party

It was quite the weekend starting on Friday! Mills, Kevin and I picked up Molly Anne from school then we all went to get Grady. They love when we all pick them each up! 

We divided and conquered that night. Kevin took Grady to teeball and I took Molly Anne to a quick dinner at Shake Shack then we walked around target because she wanted some erasers which then lead to retractable markers. Alllll of the crafty things! We reorganized her craft table that night and got it cleaned up. She makes many crafts each day. Always creating!

Saturday morning was the egg hunt at our club which was amazingggg! They had 3500 eggs for about 40 kids, ha! It was wild! 

And a petting zoo was there!







Grady and I went to pick up our groceries while Kevin took Molly Anne to chess club in the hood! She whipped up on those boys! She’s the youngest, only girl and I like to say, “most well rounded!” I think it’s awesome that she plays and meets new friends!

Off to Grady’s teeball game. Kinda funny when you have to finish your game in khaki pants. Long story ;) give me strength! He had a couple great fielding plays when we were on FaceTime with my parents so they could watch! It was good timing for that! They wish they could transport here for every game to watch him! 


We ran home and did some last minute prepping for Drew’s surprise 40th birthday party! He wouldn’t get out of the house until 3:15 and everyone was coming over at 5. It was a tight timeline but it worked. Everything was at our house so we shuttled it over and

Hilary got it all set up! It was awesome and he was surprised!




The girls went back over to our house after the surprise and our babysitter watched all four kiddos. And the girls had their first sleepover!






















Sunday morning Charley came to visit Mills! Mills wasn’t as thrilled about playing as Charley was!



After some naps for some of us, we headed to Kellie and Michael’s for a Masters party! She had made Azalea drinks, had games for the kids and the adults too! And the kids played in the hot tub. 


Isn’t their new pool amazing?! Such a great set up in their back yard!


Back to reality today. I’m thankful for weekends these days when I really try not to think about work for two days. I do but not like it engulfs my brain all week. Anyway, happy Monday!
