Questions Answered

First, thank you all SO much for all of your congratulations, encouragement and excitement from my post yesterday!  It means more to me than you know!  I thought it would be good to answer some questions that I've been asked!

1.  No, we aren't finding out the gender.  Everyone finds out and we want to be different.  Plus, I've waited 32 years, I can wait 25 more weeks!  The planner in me is going nuts but I'll survive!

2.  Since we aren't finding out gender, I'm going with navy in the nursery.  And I don't want it to be a theme, I just want it to be a nice room!

3.  We found out November 5th!  We told my parents on the 7th and Kevin's parents on the 8th.

4.  Yes, I've been doing weekly pregnancy journals and been saving them as drafts.  I'll be publishing these soon because I've loved reading others updates especially when I first got pregnant and couldn't talk to anyone about it!  These updates have all the ways we told our closest family etc.

5.  I still don't believe it's real, despite 8 weeks of nausea and now daily headaches.

6.  Traveling has still happened.  And I just pushed through.  I had to work!  It really wasn't that terrible except this one flight back from salt lake in December.  That was misery.

7.  Still been doing flywheel and exercising. Essential.

8.  I told work on the Monday after Christmas (29th).  That was fun!  Now they understood why I was panting as I ran through airports all Fall rolling 80 lbs of suitcase and bag behind me.

9.  I'll be 16 weeks on Friday.

10. Kevin is very excited.  I think he wanted to be a dad the day after we got married. He's so good with our nieces. ;)

Any other questions - put them in the comments and I'll answer them soon!

  2. So happy for you! A navy nursery sounds wonderful, and you can always add little touches of pink or baby blue after he or she makes their debut. Most of the reason I wanted to find out before was for nursery and baby wardrobe purposes. But after Freddy was born, I realized that especially in this day in age it's extremely easy to order up a bunch of pink or blue pjs and have them delivered to your front door. So no worries. Plus, babies look the sweetest in WHITE!

Sorry you are so sick. I was too, then about 16 weeks it subsided. You WILL feel normal again!

  8. Congratulations! I love reading your blog. I recently had a baby and also did a navy nursery when I didnt know what I was having. I loved the idea of adding green or orange accent if it was a boy or coral accents if it was a girl! I had a boy named Harrison on 8/17/14. Get ready - the fun is just beginning!
