Seven on Friday

I’ve been in Wichita, Kansas this week and it was a disaster trying to get home. American canceled my flight in the middle of the night and I found out at 2:30am when I randomly woke up. They rebooked Margaret and I for the following day and we wouldn’t get home until the day after that. Uh yeah not going to work. So I booked some Delta flights and figured if we could get to Atlanta, worst case we could drive home. That all worked out and we flew in around 2 on Thursday. Not a moment too soon before a foot appointment and a tennis match last night. Anyway! Here we are at dinner. Our General Contractor and his wife took us to George’s, a French restaurant!

ONE:
Molly Anne got fairy hair at the pool birthday party she went to on Sunday. She was STOKED as she’s always wanted it!

TWO:
We were walking out of Grady’s school the other day and he grabbed my hand. I asked him if he was always going to hold my hand and he said yes. Heart melted.

THREE:
Spot the Hoover. See Mills peaking through the second and third spindle from the top?!

FOUR:
It’s always a good day when Furnitureland South is at your house delivering furniture. We got our bedroom side tables and dresser this week. They’re sooooooo pretty. Can’t wait to share!

FIVE:
Molly Anne had her last week with Bella this week. Bella heads back to school. We will miss her so much!

SIX:
Grady passed his swim level this week! We are so proud of him. He can swim about 15’ without help!

SEVEN:
Kate and I won against Blakeney last night! Our first big win together! We came back in the second set after we were down 1-4 to win 6-4.

Mom Hack

Have I been living under a rock?! If you leave a sticker on your shirt and wash and dry it, I thought the shirt was gone forever. Well, a simple hack I found from Google is this - use cotton balls with alcohol on them and rub it off. Wash the shirt again and done! Just like new again! I’m so happy my shirt is back!!

OIB

Thursday night we got here and went right to Maria’s for an easy dinner. Then go karting was in order!

Girls won!!

Then we went over to the beach to take Mills and watch the sun set. We love that time of night on the beach. It’s truly the best!

If this couldn’t be more accurate. Grady in a tide pool and Molly Anne walking Mills!

We even got to see where they were setting up for sea turtles hatching. They didn’t end up coming although we stayed for awhile waiting!

Friday morning she made a Lego set that our beach friends had given her!

And we had a big beach day!

Then I steamed some crabs and shrimp for an early dinner. The crabs weren’t that good but it was still fun to pick them!

This was the best part, when Molly Anne asked to join! I loved that!

So fun!

We headed to the concert with our neighbors to meet up with our other neighbors!

Crazy children!

Molly Anne and Charley

Grady and Jack

It was a fun time! Saturday the kids and I spent the day at the beach. Whew! Lots of beach time. We didn’t do anything Saturday night then we headed back to Charlotte early yesterday. Molly Anne had a birthday party she really wanted to go to so we came back for that!

Happy Monday!

Five on Thursday

1. This top is absolutely stunning. Color and style are perfecto!

2. I have loved this color so much and need to grab this tank for sweat sessions.

3. This top caught my eye. I’m not typically a floral gal but I like this.

4. I’ve always wanted a white sweatshirt and this may be my year for it! Love this look. $49

5. A classic jean jacket for when it starts getting cooler at nights.

Three Exciting Things

1. Molly Anne lost her top right big tooth today while she was at her school camp! She bit into her snack and it fell right out. No blood or anything. She lost her top left a couple of weeks ago and that big tooth has just started coming in…crazy!

2. Grady passed his level at swim class today, something he’s been working toward off and on since last August! Maybe I felt more accomplished than he did haha. He swam about 20’ to his instructor without help. Yay! And yes, isn’t corduroy cute?!

3. I figured out how to reply to comments again on here and I’m so happy! It hadn’t worked for the longest time and now I can write y’all back!!!

Weekend at Home

We were home this weekend and it was honestly SO nice. Kevin’s Uncle Chris visited Thursday to Saturday and we had the best time being with him. We stayed up soooo late both nights so early bedtime was necessary last night!

This is what the kiddos did while waiting for him to arrive! She’s trying to teach him math hahah!!

Friday during the day, Kevin took Chris to Noble Smoke for lunch then they drove around town and saw how much it had changed since he was last here. Kevin also got to show him one of his offices. Good quality time together.

That night we went to our club and had so much fun. We saw a bunch of our friends and got to introduce Uncle Chris to them.

We had such a nice visit with him. We really love hanging with him and wish we lived closer!!

Saturday I took the kids to the neighborhood pool for hours and met up with friends there.

Saturday night we went out with Brad and Shauna. First we got to meet Reece! Their newest cutie! The boys…

Then we went to downtown Monroe for a concert that some of their high school buddies were performing. Band is called One Big Love! We hopped around to a couple of breweries first then headed to The Courthouse where the band played. It’s a self pour place and it cool.

We noticed while walking around that both of the guys had the same shoes on. Then Shauna goes well I guess we shouldn’t talk much and we had the biggest laugh!!!

Ken and Gary met up with us too.

Love birds!!!

With the lead singer!

Sunday I took the kids to our club’s pool and we had lunch and stayed for 5 hours! Hilary and Greer met us too. Grady met many new friends because the child walks up to anyone and says, “wanna play football” while holding the beach football that my parents got him. It is adorable.

This was Grady at 6:40pm. He gone. Night night little boy!

Happy Monday! PS I cannot believe that today is August 1st y’all!!
