Molly Anne Pics

I haven't posted much of our Molly Anne so here are some from the last week or so. 

Waiting for us to get ready in the morning. We pop her in her tot block and let her play..and we know she's safe. 

Standing up a lot as of this week and for long periods of time!  

Cooling off on a day we couldn't go to the real pool because of a swim meet. 

Cuddle time yesterday morning. Still not sure who loves who more.  

Waiting for Poppa to get on FaceTime!

They see me rollin. I put her in this so I can grill dinner.  She usually watches me throw the ball for mills at the same time. 

This morning.  When I didn't come in immediately, she decided to reach out of her crib and pull all of her beach towels in that were stacked at the end of it. Ha!

Looking forward to a fun weekend we have planned!

Life Update - Closed on House

Little life update:

1.  Thanks for suffering through my Denver recaps. I know trip pictures aren't always that exciting but I love the fact that I've done a blog post on every trip Kevin and I have been on together. 

2.  The months of May and June have been crazy. I've literally gone somewhere then come home for less than 24 hours then go somewhere else.  I think my work travel will slow a bit in July and August so that'll be nice. We will see if it happens. 

3.  Speaking of that, the whole working mom thing hasn't been the easiest but I am thankful for Kevin. He's been holding the fort down and he hasn't had the easiest year work wise either.  It's just a phase and next year will be better.  

4.  House update - we closed on the lot and construction loan as one on Tuesday.  That was a pretty darn big day for us. We took them a huge check, signed our life away and walked out of the attorney's office with nothing.  No keys or anything! Kind of weird but we look forward to getting started building.  So far our floor plan has been nailed down and we are currently working on renderings and picking out brick. We feel like this is our biggest decision yet and want to get it right. Timeline - we hope to break ground in August then it'll be about a year to build. 

5. Mom also had surgery on her neck on Tuesday at Hopkins.   It's a long complicated story of her surgeries and medical issues but she's doing really well from this one.

Denver - Last Day - Red Rocks and The Fray

If you ever get the opportunity to see a show at Red Rocks, do it.  Definitely a bucket list item and we were so glad that they decided to make this part of our trip.

It was a disgusting night weatherwise.  And it was incredibly windy there and much chillier than downtown Denver.  

Of course, they left us seat protectors and bottles of water on every seat.  

And gave us ponchos which they of course had made...just in case.  

And we were glad because we needed them!  Before the show began, they had the concessions folks carrying trays and trays of all kinds of different food and drink around to everyone.  It was pretty cool to have a chill dinner and hang out there.  

Then they introduced the entertainment...The Fray.

Kevin was pretty excited because he listens to their music.  I ended up recognizing a bunch of their songs.

They were really good and it was awesome to see them in that venue.  They said they've played at Red Rocks 9 times and 7 of those, it has rained ha!

Last Tuesday we flew back to Charlotte and ready to see our girl and little Mills!  Another fun trip!  We're thankful for the opportunity to travel!

Denver Day Three

Sunday in Denver we really didn't do much.  Kevin said I talked about Brad Paisley in my sleep on Saturday night haha.  

That morning I went to brunch with my friend Jodie who lives in Denver.  We went to Snooze and it was amazing.  Highly recommend.  Probably the best benedict I've ever had!

Spent the day at the pool then went up and got ready and we walked all around downtown Denver scoping places out.  We always like to bounce around a bunch of different restaurants and bars.  First up - Sams.  

Next stop, Herb's...quite an establishment.  We went where the locals told us to go.  We love hole in the wall places!

It was seriously amazing.  I got chicken tinga tacos.

Good times.  Next up, Monday at Red Rocks!

Denver - Day Two - Brad Paisley

After the stadium tours, we went back to the hotel and got ready for the gala.  I had no clue what was to come.  They never release the performers ahead of time so they're always a surprise.  

First, they bussed 1,300 people to the Colorado Convention Center within 30 minutes.  That was impressive.  

I was basically freaking out at this point trying to figure out who the performer was.  There were not enough dirty gin martinis in the world to calm me down haha.  And then I heard rumblings that it could be Brad Paisley and basically I just freaked!  

And then he was introduced...............and we were on the front row.........and wow.  

I guess it isn't a big deal if you don't like country music but I LOVE country music and it's basically all that I listen to.  And I LOVE Brad Paisley.  Sooooo I was REALLY excited.  I mean it was a private concert with 1,299 of our closest friends and BRAD PAISLEYYYYYYYY!

Umm yes, this is him coming to grab my phone on his last song.  

And he took it and took selfies with it of both sides of the room.  I was flipping out that BRAD PAISLEY HAD MY PHONE!

There we are over his left shoulder...you can see my eyes, top of my head and hand.  You can see Kevin's hand on his phone just under his left ear.  

AND THEN...he played his guitar WITH my phone!  

Kevin was videoing the whole thing going down.  

Yes, it was incredible.  I was jumping up and down like a crazy person.  I know most don't think this is that great but it was a huge deal to me!

He threw his hat out to the crowd and a guy caught it and let Kevin take a picture in it!  Seriously!?!!  Real life.

Stage take down crew.  It was a full performance of what Brad puts on everywhere.  It included his normal stage, screen behind him, lighting, everything.  

One of the most fun nights ever and I'll never forget it!!!!!!!!!
