Molly Anne's Birthday Weekend & July 3

Friday:
After picking her up we got home and opened a gift from her cousins!

Then we went to the pool with Gigi and Sarah!

Lil date night at home after Molly Anme went to bed!

Mills loves laying on the cool mulch.

Saturday:
Pool

Then after her nap we played with her new water table that Kevin and I got her!

She loves it!  And I think she'll love it more when she can stand better.

Mills of course drank out of it!

We also played with some other new toys.  Kinda using our guest room as a pseudo playroom these days.

Saturday night the three of us went to Kabuto for some hibachi. We thought Molly Anne would like all the action of watching the guys cook and she did!  The only thing she didn't like was when the guy was flipping zucchini at me and I couldn't catch it in my mouth.  He did it three times and Molly Anne did not like him picking on her mama. She cried y'all!  But then recovered quickly ha!

There was a sweet old school Charlotte couple that sat next to us and they couldn't have been kinder.  They made sure Molly Anne got a sweet treat for her big day.

She lovedddd the orange sherbet!

Sunday:
Surprise, we went to the pool again.

Then got ready for our big July 3rd plans!  This was our third year joining Sarahs family at their country club for the big celebration!  We look forward to it it every year!

Two years ago, Sarah went into labor there with Gigi.  Last year I went into labor two hours after being home from there.  Needless to say, this year we toasted to neither of us going into labor and that we had our girls there with us!!!

Triple trouble one day.

Sweet Gigi!!!

Play with me Mary Scott!

As Kevin likes to say - her antenna was up the whole night!   High alert!

The watermelon queen!

See that third bottom tooth?!  It popped through on July 3!  She doesn't have her second top one yet ha!

I love this picture of them!

Mary Scott's first fireworks!

This squirt loved them.  And she probably also loved staying up HOURS past her bedtime haha!  She actually did pretty well doing it but I think that's because there was so much going on for her to check out.

Thank you Sarah for being such a sweet, sweet friend.

I posted Molly Anne's 12 month update here.  Next up, July 4th and Molly Anne's birthday party!!!

Molly Anne is ONE!

I have no clue where the past year went but we LOVED having our Molly Anne with us!  She has been our biggest joy and it's been the best year for Kevin and I.  I can't even believe this time last year is when we found out she was a little girl too.  I thought for sure she was a boy!  Ha!

Here's what you're up to missy!

1.  Per the doc - you are 21 pounds, 12 ounces (55%), 30" (75%) and put those together and you're right in the 50th percentile for your height and weight combined.  Head circumference is 46.5cm (80%).  You wear size 12 month clothes, size 4 diapers and your tiny feet are still size 2.

2.  A few weeks ago you started grabbing onto things and standing up.  You stay standing for pretty long periods of time.  You aren't cruising or walking just yet but I bet you'll be walking in the next month!  We'll see!  You're a fast crawler and get where you need to go.

3.  Up until this past week, you were getting three 7 ounce bottles of formula a day.  Sometimes you'd finish them and sometimes you wouldn't drink it all.  It depended on what you ate that day.  Now, we are starting milk, cold turkey -- no more formula.  Dr. Temple said to put organic whole milk in your bottles to get you used to the milk.  Then we will take the bottles away.  She said by 15 months the bottles must be gone but we'll be doing it in the next couple of weeks for you since you're kinda obsessed.  No more bottles!  Ahhh.  It will be hard but is necessary!  We will also transition for your three milk servings a day to be at the three meals as well.

4.  As far as other things you're eating....basically anything.  You truly have tried everything and you don't really love watermelon but anything else is fair game.  Some of your favorites - peanut butter crackers, blueberries, string cheese, cheerios.

5.  Sleeping - still going down at 7pm, falling asleep by 7:30pm and waking up at 6:30am.  You're like clockwork.  Naps 9-10am and roughly 1-3pm, sometimes a bit longer.

6.  Favorite activities: Pool - you are obsessed and still in your swim lessons too.  We like to go to the neighborhood pool every weekend and sometimes after school too.  Reading your books - you've really gotten into books this month.  Walks - you like to roll anywhere in your stroller.  If there are people, you are entertained.  Whenever we go to a restaurant, we face you towards the people and you're happy so you can see what's going.  You always know what's going on in any room you're in.  You are a sharp little babydoll!

7.  You are saying Dada, Mama, Poppa, Nana but I'm still not sure if you know that a person is associated with what name.  I can't wait until you can talk because you surely have a lot to say!  You love to babble!

8.  You LOVE to clap and we say yayyyy Molly Anne!  You scrunch your little nose up and just smile!

9.  You're very into feeding Mills your dinner and laughing at him. On your birthday you crawled right over him and he didn't move.  It's going to be so cute when you can say his name!

10.  You aren't shy and you're pretty cool about anyone holding you. I hope it stays this way but I also don't mind Mama-mode either.

We love you soooooo much!!!

Five on Friday - Lilly gifts

We've had a busy but good week.  I've gotten to catch up on a lot of things since this was the first in 6 or 8 weeks I didn't have to travel. Whew!!

1.  Starting today Lilly is doing gifts with purchase!  I was in the Charlotte store getting a few things this week and I'm picking it all up today so I can get the gifts with purchase - two wine totes and a deck of cards.  Vicki of course helped me pick out everything!  You get the deck of cards with any purchase and the two wine totes with $150+ purchase.  She mentioned monograming them...how cute would that be?!

2.  We finally got our mulch done yesterday!  It looks SO good!!!  Kevin and I have been working on prepping all of the beds so this was awesome to finally have done.  Mulch makes such a big difference.

3.  Bubbles for both children while I grilled. Entertainment haha.

4.  Why does she look so grown up here?!!!

5.  She had her class birthday party on Wednesday.  I'll share pictures next week after we celebrate her turning 1 all weekend.  We cannot believe it!!!

Chat soon friends!
