How real are you?

I've been thinking about this for a long time.

How real are you on your blog?

Are you yourself?
I type how I talk.  I'm the first to admit, I'm not a good writer.
But I'm not sure it's all about that for me.  I'm more interested in journaling my life with family and friends.  I like finding good deals and sharing them.  I enjoy meeting new friends from blogging and getting new ideas.

I found the picture below on my computer.  It's my Mom and I when I was 4.
I'm not scared to show this.  Honestly I think it's hilarious especially since I eventually became a civil engineer.  But at the same time I love Lilly and lots of other very girly things.  Too funny, right?

So how real are you on your blog?  Are you like you are in real life?  Or do you use your blog as a different kind of outlet?

I've been thinking about this actually. I feel I am mostly real, though I still don't talk about too many personal things, so I wonder if I should be more real some days! I don't love my writing, but then some readers who know me in real life say that I write the way I talk...I'm not sure how I feel about that!

I don't know I feel like this is one part of my life but I am so like this. Its different now in college, but in high school some of my closer friends were all lilly lovers and we would discuss it all the time, so that doesn't happen as much any more.

I talk like I write on my blog. I am a writer by trade but my blog is really a journal of my life, travels, activities. It's fun to look back.
Sometimes I wish I could talk more openly about things on my blog but that's not its purpose. Not its purpose to hear about my struggles, my 'down' days, etc. I've thought about starting an anonymous blog to talk about these things but I will never do it.

i also think i write like i talk, especially since when i blog i talk mostly about my life.
i think my online presence is similar to real life me- i'm a bit more reserved online than in real life though, just because you never know who is reading it online!

I LOVE this post because I have thought the very same thing a many of times! My career is in witing, so writing for me is an everyday thing blog or not. That being said, I know I tend to put more "writing" into my blogs than I probably should. And I know in more case than one, I am overly dramatic! haha! Good point to bring up though... makes me wonder about all those who I follow!

I am real on my blog. I write just like I talk. I have a very Southern accent!!! I tell things like it is. I have not posted since early December, but I hope to get back into the groove real soon. Just not enough hours in the day right now. I have actually met a lot of my blog friends in person and we all hit it off just like we had known each other for years. Hopefully when I am at Lauren's sometime, we can all get together for lunch/dinner. That would be so fun! Love & blessings from NC!

I definitely think I'm real on my blog. I write just like I speak, but I do (as you know) block out everyone's faces. I do that for many the fact that I'm a consultant for high ranking financial people...and other countries...and I don't want my face all over my blog for that reason. Because they don't need to find it, and to know it's me...BUT...every now and again I show myself :)

I often wonder though, "is everyone as real as I am on their blogs?"

Great question!
