Snow Day

The snow ended up starting here Friday night. Molly Anne ran right out there around 7pm when it began. Grady thought Santa was in the snow so he refused to go out. I don’t think he remembers seeing snow a few years ago so I guess it was pretty weird for him to see white stuff coming from the sky.

I had made Pioneer Woman’s spaghetti sauce so we had that for dinner. Felt right for a “snowy” day!

We woke up to a winter wonderland and we had to go play in it right away before it melted ha!!

Mills always loves snow. He plays in it like a little child.

Snow angel. These snow bibs are the ones I bought three years ago. I got a 2T and 4T back then. Well of course Grady needed the 4T this year and Molly Anne is way past that size so she didn’t have any. Thankfully she borrowed some from next door!!

We took the golf carts to a big hill in the hood then over to our friend Jen’s house. She has a steep back yard perfect for sledding!

We made snow cream too which was fun. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before. I used this recipe

We had our neighbors over for dinner.

And we stayed up too late and had so much fun.

I played tennis for an hour and a half yesterday afternoon and we laid low. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Last Week

Friday ended up being a snow day for Molly Anne. Grady’s school was open so naturally we took him to school then went and got our nails done!

We had greek salads one day last week for dinner. Lots of chopping but they were delish. I grilled the chicken on the grill earlier in the day.

He loves to have his back up against something. I love how he fits right into a space.

Molly Anne joined me in the gym on Friday!

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom and Epcot

Sunday was a rainy morning so we took it easy and had breakfast at the hotel during the storm then got on the bus right after it ended to head to Animal Kingdom.

At 7am that morning when you have to book any ride purchases or lightening lane, I bought Avatar Flight of Passage for Kevin and Molly Anne and booked the river journey for all of us. Unfortunately the river journey was not working when we had our window so they gave us a lightening lane pass to use anytime that day for the same ride or another. Thankfully it opened back up and we were able to do it before we headed back to the hotel. Then the Dinosaur ride we had booked never opened up so we missed that one. This is what we did:

It’s Tough to be a Bug
Safari
River journey
Avatar flight of passage
Triceratops spin twice
Back to Epcot for dinner and saw the show Harmonious again!

Like a bug scared Grady so he and I ended up walking out of that.

The safari was a highlight for us. Grady loved it.

Disney keeps those grounds spic and span!

This was in the river journey. The ride isn’t thrilling as in it’s not a thrill ride but it’s pretty amazing in there! Def a must do if you go.

In line for the big ride! They loved it. Molly Anne nor Grady have any fear. Grady would have done this if he were tall enough.

Grady and I hung out while they did that then went over to Dinoland for some things for him.

He loved watching this show on the way.

Then we were back to our hotel. Molly Anne loved checking out all of the bus and skyliner designs. She especially loved this one of Mickey.

Grady took an hour nap then we headed to Epcot to meet up with some of our friends! We had dinner together at Coral Reef which was fun to have the aquarium as a wall in the restaurant. We didn’t care much about the food when we were making reservations. We much preferred a “cooler experience” if that makes sense. Then we walked around the world with everyone and had a good time. This was definitely my favorite night of the trip.

Grady loved the trains in Germany. Actually Molly Anne did too.

Then we watched Harmonious again. I’m telling you, it’s amazing!

That’s Disney tired!

Thursday Favorites

This morning I posted about our day in Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I also wanted to share some favorites for the week!

Obsessed with this top but honestly all of their tops are wonderful.

Comfortable and cozy and almost 50% off.

Love this dress for Spring.

Looking forward to when this shirt goes on sale because I want it in every color. Good staple for anyone's closet.

Day 2 - Magic Kingdom and Epcot

This was our first day of parks! We got the park hopper passes and Genie + and used both each day. Very worth it. We also ended up buying the Individual Lighting Lightening Lane rides as well. It’s honestly all a little confusing and I still much prefer the Fast Pass system they used to have. I felt like we had a much better “plan” for our day when you could book three rides at once. And we weren’t waiting in any hour plus lines with a 3 and 6 year old. Thankfully we didn’t and weren’t dead set on riding any particular rides. We were just happy with what we got on. Here was what we did on Saturday:

Magic Kingdom -
Dumbo
Under the sea
It’s a small world
Haunted mansion - my kids were not interested in this...it's pretty scary.
Peter Pan - I don't get the hype of this
Aladdin magic carpet
Tomorrow Land Speedway
Space mountain - we bought this for Kevin and Molly Anne…Grady wasn’t tall enough
People mover - Grady and I did this while they did SM

Epcot -
Frozen - we bought this too
Saw Elsa and Anna - they randomly come out into the courtyard for pictures.
Gran Fiesta Tour starring the Three Caballeros
Soarin’
The Seas with Nemo
Saw Epcot show Harmonious

Right now at Disney you have to wear masks inside and they’re optional outside.

That time we bumped into the boys on the speedway…oops! But we won!

These gold statues are all throughout the park for the 50th anniversary celebration that is happening now.

Grady loved the peoplemover!

Riding Aladdin! Yep, Fanny pack is the way to go. I kept only a few things in it - my phone, portable phone charger, hand sanitizer and my license/credit card. Then I keep a bigger bag of stuff in the bottom of our stroller that I didn’t care if something happened to it. That bag has extra hand sanitizer, change of bottoms for Grady that he didn’t need, water bottles, couple snacks. If it looked like it may rain, I added a separate bag of four cheap ponchos. We used these one day.

Went back to the hotel around 1pm ish so Grady could sleep for an hour or two. Kevin and Molly Anne went to the pool at the hotel. Then we walked over to Epcot.

Molly Anne told me a few weeks ago that she really wasn’t into princesses any more. Little did she know that she was going to Disney in three weeks ha! But she asked to meet them again and we did. She told me afterwards that she told them her name because she was positive they’d remember her and she said they did. It was very magical. Anna turned to Elsa as we were walking away and said how sweet Molly Anne was. Ahhhh those are the moments why us Moms stress out about all of the Disney details!!!

We had a delicious dinner at La Cantina de San Angel. Our kids downed the queso. Also, I must add… every waiter or waitress we had at Disney was awesome. They were so good.

They were mesmerized with the ball!

Soarin freaked me out but they loved it!

The aquarium was a big hit and also a great spot to waste some time before the big Epcot show at 9pm every night - Harmonious.

The show was incredible. We ended up watching it two nights in a row.

Next day was raining but we headed to Animal Kingdom then back to Epcot. Stay tuned, coming up next.
