Halloween Weekend

On Friday afternoon, my office had the most adorable event where all of the children come trick or treat. My kids have loved this tradition!

Saturday morning at the baseball field with a big W in playoffs!

Kevin was at the hospital with his mom so the kids and I did some errands. I'd typically do these during my lunch but my schedule has been wacky lately due to spending time at the hospital. It was nice to get this stuff knocked out. They got to have a macaroon at Whole Foods so don't feel too badly for them haha!


And picking out things she wanted at Lululemon sooooo adding these to her Christmas list. 



Saturday night the four of us went to Inizio for pizza. Sooooo good. The evening got exciting when I saw flashlights in our backyard. I had heard a bunch of "kids" earlier so quickly figured that out. They were running from a neighbors house when the parents got home and found booze. They even jumped our fence which is not short. Probably about 15 kids. I told them they picked the wrong yard since ours is so muddy and it had just rained! Kinda funny. 

Sunday I went over to the hospital in the AM. Then Kevin and I swapped. Kids sang in a chorus concert at church last night. Easy little weekend. 

20 Minute Red Curry Basil Oil Garlic Noodles

I made this recipe by Half Baked Harvest last night and it was super good. The kids loved it. I only used one tablespoon of the red curry paste. Yum!!

New Landscaping

We had a bunch of bushes die in the bed to the left of our front door. And then one of our swirly topiaries that flanked both sides of the front door died so we had to take both out. Now we have a refresh!

Still waiting to add a Waterfall Japanese Maple. Can't find one anywhere!

And then we need to repaint our shutters. Never ending home ownership!

For the yearbook! Too bad Grady’s shirt has junk all over it from lunch. Grrrr! Otherwise all good. Love these little precious children of mine!

Low Key Weekend

Depressing Friday night trying on clothes from Avara. Why are they all made so shortly? It was insane. I tried on 6 dresses in my normal size and they made me want to stop eating and shrink in height. Back to my normal places to shop. It was fun trying! 

Saturday morning at the ball field. They got a W and Grady went 4 for 4 again. He did last Monday too. He is loving baseball. Playing first base most of the time!

Saturday evening hanging with the puppy. 


Maggie and Greer spent the night. These kiddos went wild and had the most fun. Until about 10 when we all went upstairs! 





Sleepover in the playroom!


Tennis on Sunday morning then we met Kevin for lunch at Brixx. 




It's been a bit of a wild past week. Last Sunday Kevin's mom had a massive heart attack. Recovery is happening but very slowly. We've been at the hospital quite a bit. I was also in Utah last week and I want to share those pics. Please keep his parents in your thoughts and prayers. 

Shopping Cart

ONE - brown suede shift dress. So classy. 

TWO - another good staple - black cardigan, love the gold buttons. And it's cotton so not itchy or hot!

THREE - I was in my closet looking for a dress to wear for a dinner and wish I had this dress. Great for so many occasions. 

FOUR - boots that are on my list for this Fall

FIVE - if I'm being honest, these brown leather leggings prob won't look great on my big ole legs but I certainly like the idea though!

Fall Front Porch

Easy front porch this year. Every year I do something different with the pumpkins. This time I went simple with 6 Trader Joe's fantasy pumpkins. Heather Opal art makes the adorable door charms. The big spider was from Michaels awhile back. 

Field Hockey and Halloween Party

We had a crazy weekend. Played some pickleball on Friday with friends. Then the kids all played at the hood playground. Easy! Friday night we went over to the club with Kevin's parents for dinner. 

Saturday morning was the morning of sports. Grady had an early game. Molly Anne had field hockey so she went with Greer to that then we met them over there.

Saturday night Kevin and I went up to The Office. It was a great vibe - awesome band and gorgeous evening to sit on the patio. We even got to see our friend Leslie there!


Then we headed to our friends house for their annual Halloween party that had taken an 8 year break. It was amazingggg as always. She always goes above and beyond. And beyond some more. And their house is GORGEOUS. 








Their backyard is so awesome. 


We all carved pumpkins and of course they had prizes for best, worst and most creative. 










And a pumpkin in the pool. We haven't laughed that hard on a night out in a long time. So much fun with old and great friends.
