Kevin's Birthday

Thank you all for the sweet comments this week about Kevin's birthday and his big year for work!  Very kind of you guys.  I'm thankful to be able to share on here and keep it part of our journal!

I just wanted to do a quick recap about his actual birthday on Monday.  I already talked about celebrating with his family on Sunday.

Monday we both worked and we had high intentions of going out to dinner on Monday night at 131 Main.  We ended up canceling our reservations because we were both still sick.  We'll go there at some point to celebrate.  We aren't big Valentine's fans so who knows what we'll do tomorrow night either.

But as we sat down to dinner (he made me a grilled cheese and he had leftover manicotti - yes I win wife of the year award for his birthday dinner) on Monday night, I did break some fun news to him.  There was a foosball table in our neighbors garage for him!

We need to get it to our house then we are going to attempt to put it together.  Maneuvering it should be interesting...it weighs over 200 pounds.

He thought the iPad was his gift, but that was supposed to be for each other for Valentines (even though we don't really do Valentine's gifts - this was just an excuse to buy an iPad basically).  But since that is now Kevin's iPad who knows haha.  It's all the same at this point anyway!

Mills carried the card he got Kevin to him while he was in the living room at his new desk.  That was way too cute.  Mills' card said "Dad I've been waiting to have a piece of your birthday cake for a whole year."  and the inside said "and in dog years that's a long time!"  Of course it had a golden retriever on the front so Mills picked that one out really easily!  ;)

Next year is the biggie!!!!

Foosball! What a fun gift!!! Can't wait for the Someday when we have a house so we can get some fun toys like that.
