Our First Married Weekend

We had a great first married weekend!  Ha!  I just made that lingo up.

Friday night we went to the fish camp with Kevin's parents and niece.  That was fun to catch up.

Saturday morning we had a neighborhood garage sale that was timed perfectly for us to get rid of our duplicate appliances etc.  I think we made around $200.  Not bad for a last minute thing!

Mills got to play outside towards the end.  He's been so tired from being at camp for 8 nights but I think he's pretty much back to himself.  He was a wild man last night!

He got to visit with his girlfriend Lexie during the garage sale.

That night we invited Kevin's buddy Brad and his fiance Shauna over for drinks then to go to dinner.  We had the BEST time with them!  She and I stayed inside and talked weddings while the boys acted crazy outside.  We then joined them for some red ryder shooting.  Seriously best Christmas gift Kevin has ever gotten, Kevin thinks.  And I do too haha!

We cabbed to Zapatas for dinner and Shauna treated us to mojitos.  Yum!  It was a really fun night!

Sunday I was up early to do some yard work.  We have A LOT of catching up to do after the sweet lady who lived there before us, had done nothing in years.  My first little project was the edge around one of the beds at the bottom of our driveway.  It was gross, full of weeds and leaves.  I dug it all out then we went to Lowes to get mulch.  Kevin mulched it.

Still have lots of work to do on the weeds inside the beds.....

While at Lowes, we got some flowers and other things.  I jazzed up these two planters on the front steps with geraniums.  They remind me of home because Mom always planted them.

Mills says, welcome to my house, my yard and my neighborhood.  He's the boss!

These tulips randomly popped up.  Yes, more beds we need to mulch......  It's been fun to see all of the flowers and plants bloom in our yard.  It's all a surprise to us because it's our first spring!

It definitely looks better than it did.  I should have taken a before picture.  It's embarrassing, all of our neighbors yards are literally amazing and perfectly groomed...then there's us.  We just have SO much to do inside our house and out....but we're getting there.

Also while we were at Lowes, we bought a tractor.  Yeah we didn't need a tractor living in a high rise condo building.  But now we do - there goes another $2k!  But now we can save and not have to pay someone to mow our yard.  Kevin will do it.  Hey I may even jump on it too!

We ended the weekend with dinner at McAllisters and then TCBY.  Kevin's kick these days is going out to dinner on Sunday nights.  I'm not complaining! ;)

  2. What a productive weekend! I keep telling Cameron that we need to have a yard sale to get rid of all of our crap but he just wants me to take it all to Goodwill. We could use an extra $200! We also did yard work on Sunday. Not so fun, but it looks great afterwards!
