Three big Strawberries, avocado and 4 ounces of green beans (two frozen cubes)
Two cubes of peas, hummus and applesauce
Shrimp creole with whole grain rice plus avocado. First time having shrimp!
Just trying to give an idea of some of her meals. Usually I try to do a veggie, fruit and protein but let's be honest...I'm not a gourmet cook, I work full time and I'm a Mama...just doing the best I can, ha! Most days, I'm grateful to have food on the table. When MA gets more teeth, I think it'll be easier too! Like everything, this is a phase and she isn't going to eat purees for forever!
Definitely a good reminder! Those meals look great and I will be doing a few of them soon!
ReplyDeleteSomething I added to my rotation when my son was this age was beans. Much like hummus-canned black beans and every other kind are a great/easy protein. Rinse/mash serve. To this day they are my go to filler when we are having something the mildy picky 2 year old wont eat.
ReplyDeleteThe meals look great! I hope MA loved the shrimp and didn't have a reaction. I know food allergies are hard! I just found out I am lactose intolerant. :(
