Shauna's Bachelorette

I had the best time at Shauna's bachelorette party on Saturday night.  Shauna is marrying one of Kevin's best friends and I thought it was so nice of her to include me in her last single night out.  I didn't know another person at the party (other than Shauna) so you never know how those evenings are going to work out but this couldn't have been more fun!

The evening started at her friend Laura's condo in Plaza Midwood with lots of appetizers and Prosecco with a splash of St. Germain.

We had all made her a scrapbook page.

Weren't the flowers from the farmer's market gorgeous? As a favor, Laura had gotten everyone a plain wine glass and had acrylic pens for us to decorate them with.  I thought that was a fun touch!  Mine is on the bottom - pink and green polka dots.

Then we went to Petit Philippe on Selwyn for a wine tasting that Laura had coordinated.  I must say, I was really impressed!

The wines were so good.  I love this picture with the bride being the only face in it!

Then we walked across the street to Selwyn Pub and Pat McCrory was leaving as we came in.  I was super tacky and asked for a picture of him.  He was the mayor of Charlotte for the longest time and now he's the Governor of North Carolina.  He lives right around the corner so I asked him if he was just walking home and he said yes.  Super nice guy!

Then we caused chaos at Selwyn with our scavenger hunt.  We divided into two teams and had a bunch of things to do on a list.  I'll spare you most of the details.

This was one - someone had to get a guy to act like he was proposing then post it on his facebook page that he was engaged.  This guy did it!  Haha!

We then went over to Montford and danced at El Camino for about 5 minutes then went to Jeff's Bucket Shop for karaoke.  Because that was the smart decision at that point!

At this point, I had to go home to let Mills out.  Kevin was uptown with all of the guys and he wasn't going to make it home before me.  He actually ended up staying at his old condo.

It was such a fun night and I made some new friends.  Most of all, we had the best time celebrating Shauna and can't wait for their wedding in October in Mexico!

Yesterday was spent recovering with Bojangles, water and a long walk with Mills.

Let the week commence!
