We cruised down to the beach for the weekend! It was kind of raining off and on both Friday and Saturday so we just made the best of it. We hung on the dock on Friday. The kids played on the big WaterMat and kayaked!
I kept Mills from trying to jump in. His life jacket arrived yesterday. He can doggie paddle but the bigger issue is getting him back out of the water. This life jacket has two handles to help him out. Ha!!
He lovessssss being at the beach. On the dock, on the top deck. On the actual beach. He loves it all.
Took outdoor showers to get ready for dinner. Have I mentioned that the kids always take outdoor showers? They’ve probably showered in their actual bathroom under 10 times.
We headed to Jinks Creek for an early dinner. It wasn’t too hot so we sat upstairs at their tiki bar. They have the best view…of Jinks Creek!
On Saturday we had a lazy rainy morning. Then we headed to the Planetarium in Sunset Beach for a little education. They played a short film about the four seasons then had a little excerpt about stars and constellations. It was cute.
They also have a small science center which reminded me of a mini Discovery Place for you Charlotteteans. Hurricane simulator!
Plying with all of the things! One cares a lot more about science than the other. I’ll give you a clue - she’s wearing a pink shirt. We will see what he gets into.
He had about an hour crying session because he didn’t listen when I asked him to get out of the car so I went upstairs and left him with Kevin. He cried for that long because I wouldn’t take him back down and walk up with him. He’s a stubborn young man but he’s got to listen the first time! Whew he’s tough right now y’all! It isn’t all roses over here!

Yesterday the kids and I cruised to Maryland. I could have taken Grady back to school today but it didn’t feel like the right thing to do. Will let them get this Covid stuff straightened out snd see how it goes. They have it figured out I’m sure because they wouldn’t be reopening but…. Chat soon friends.
