Birthday and Mills

First, happy birthday to my Mama (Nannie!)!  Molly Anne and I had high intentions of flying up there and surprising you today but I decided to save my miles so you can come see us when it's been a long time since you've seen her.  We love you!

We didn't do much yesterday other than write thank you notes.  I wrote some to friends but I finally got all of the hospital notes done that I've been needing to do. I wrote thank you notes to our favorite nurses and included a picture of our girl and one of the three of us.  Not that they care about the picture with Kevin and I, I more put it in there so they could put a face with a name.  I also wrote a note to the president of the hospital recognizing all of these wonderful ladies by name.  With so much negative in the world, I think it's really important to recognize the good!  Pass it on friends.

As you can tell by the pictures, Mills is obsessed. The below picture was at 3am (using my flash of course).

This morning I had the grand idea of going to flywheel at 6:30 which means I got up at 5:30.  Usually this is fine but when you're up at all kinds of weird hours before that, maybe it's not the best idea. But I'm glad I did it, just not sure how often I'll be able to until she consistently starts sleeping better than she is now.  I do credit flywheel for keeping me in good shape while pregnant. It's the best exercise since it's low impact but high intensity with really loud music! Very addicting!

Happy Tuesday!

  1. What a sweet gesture to write to the head of the hospital and name the nurses. That's so thoughtful, girl! Love that.

  2. It takes only a little time but makes such a HUGE impact to recognize good work -- it's one of my favorite things to do, calling managers/owners to praise their staff. Happy Birthday to your mom!
