Weekend at the Beach - Grady Oysters

Happy Veteran's Day weekend to all of our veterans. Thankful for you today and every day!

We rolled down to the beach late Thursday. It's always nice to wake up there so you have the whole next day.

This boy was happy to be on the back porch.

His favorite - kids down below him swinging and he puts his hoover through the railing watching and listening to them!

Friday I took the kids to play at the playground while I did some work. Grady wanted me to take this picture of him throwing his hat in the air in front of the tree!

We sort of both worked Friday and the kids played. They're sweet together most of the time but not all!

We took Mills to the beach later in the day. Grady loved running with him. Kevin and Molly Anne walked to the pier and back. Grady jumped in some shallow waves. It was gorgeous.

We cleaned up, visited with some neighbors then headed to Inlet View for dinner.

I was excited to have a bucket of steamed oysters and look who shucked and ate them with me! He loved it. Molly Anne shucked them too but she has had them before and didn't want to eat one this time. Didn't push it because she'll come around!

Yep we ate the whole bucket! Ms. Tammy waited on us and we just love her. She always ends up with us ha!

Grady and I decorated the front railing for some Christmas spirit. Now we think we need to do the other one! ;) Christmas decor -- beach style! Our flag was soaking wet from a windy and rainy day Saturday.

He had another cyst burst when we were at the beach Friday. I think he is actually relieved because it was huge and gross. Now it's almost gone! Just need to nurse it back to being closed and hopefully it doesn't fill up again. Yuck!

Saturday it rained all day so we took the kids to the movies in Myrtle Beach. Sooooo, it was Taylor Swift time for Molly Anne and Kevin took Grady to the Paw Patrol movie. There was no bracelet trading, sparkly outfits and other stuff but she LOVED it and didn't need all of the extra frills. She thanked me two separate times later in the day for taking her! So in case you needed to hear this Mama, just go do whatever. They don't need all of the things, all of the time.

Back to OIB we went to have Italian at Maria's for dinner. Always so good and one of my fav restaurants in the fall/winter!

We came home and watched Santa Buddies in our new matching pajamas pants from the Vineyard Vines outlet in Myrtle! Laughing. I'm not the 'matching pajamas with my kids' kind for the holidays but here I am! I know they won't want to for long.

Sunday was another rainy day. We stay in pajamas until lunch. We had leftover pizza then drove back to charlotte. Back to it this week!

I probably have 75% of my Christmas shopping done. Whew! Soooo many boxes arriving daily!

Today I have to follow up with beach people to get things done down there:
- new house cleaner (we use rarely because usually we clean, but very nice to have when we are using the house a lot)
- appliance people because our fridge is messed up again
- gc/landscaper because the drainage we had installed isn't working
- lawn guy to have him install pine needles or oyster shells in our side beds.

It's always something haha!!

Today we also have our Thanksgiving at our office too. It's always a nice time with coworkers.

Happy Monday!
