Baha Mar Days 1 and 2

We took the kiddos out of school last Thursday and Friday for an extra long weekend trip to celebrate Kevin's big birthday in the Bahamas! They also didn't have school yesterday so it was great. 5 days 4 nights. We stayed at the Hyatt at Baha Mar which is very family oriented.

First up, the airport. Got them to take us to our gate so they could learn about navigating an airport! Also we didn't check any luggage because we didn't want to wait for it when we got back to Charlotte. They've been terrible with luggage retrieval times in CLT. So we were team, "carry your own bags." Yes it is nice we are mostly at that point! Makes traveling soooo much easier!

Got to Nassau around 11:45am. We had prearranged all of our rides with Cheryl's Taxi. They grabbed us and we were at the hotel in our room within 1 hour of landing...including a stop at the liquor store! Bathing suits on then out to play!

We didn't have dinner reservations the first night because I sort of wanted to get the lay of the land. That was a bad idea. You have to have reservations for dinner at Baha Mar. We finally got into Katsuya for sushi but we were all past hungry! About to go up to get showered.

After dinner we walked around the resort and found the flamingos.

The next morning the kids and I ate at the Swimming Pig while Kevin got some work done. Then we all met up for the flamingo parade which was super cute. They do this every morning. MA and G loved asking questions about the flamingos. It was cute.

Then off to the waterpark that is super easy to walk to. They both did this and had fun.

Lots of water slides and Grady wanted me to do the lazy river with him. So cute!

Lunch back on the beach where we had dropped our things.

That time I got Grady a $65 Bahamas VV t shirt. Good grief! Yes everything is super expensive down there.

Dinner the second night (Valentines Day) at Marcus. This was the most pretty spot.

Check out that view. Prettier in person. Glad we went here. I got the snapper and Kevin got a seafood boil. The kids tried it all. Yum!

Kevin was toast so I took Molly Anne and Grady to the arcade where they smoked some kids from Alabama on the dirt bike game! Haha. I said we practice in Ocean Isle Beach. Their dad said they practice in the backwoods of Alabama.

It was a great two days but day 3 was our very favorite! Will be back soon!
