Grady is One!

I can sort of believe Grady is one because it's been a long year, but on the other hand, the year has flown by!  Grady is the sweetest little boy and is full of giggles.  He has really come out of his shell these past few weeks and his personality is the sweetest!  Here's what he's up to:

1.  He weights 26 pounds 6 ounces per his visit yesterday.  He wears 18m shorts and pajamas and everything else is 2T.  He's still kicking it in his size 3 boat shoes and size 5 diapers.  Update from his well check on 5/15 - Weight is 26 pounds, 12.5 ounces (91st percentile), height is 30.5" (67th percentile) and head circumference is 47 cm.

2.  He's still in physical therapy for what started as torticollis and has continued to rolling over, and now crawling.  He still isn't crawling and I'm trying not to fret.  He hasn't even sat up from laying down yet but I know he will.  He wants to move so much more now than even a few weeks ago.

3.  He loves anything with lights and sounds.  He loves to move his tractors, play with the fire truck and he loves the driving toy.

4.  His favorite foods are basically anything.  Last week we went to family night at our club and it's a buffet and this boy ate from the time he sat down until we picked him up to leave.  55 minutes.  He would have kept on eating if we had let him!  I do know that the pickiness will be happening in the next 6 months so I'll soak this up while we can.

5.  I stopped formula for him a couple of weeks ago and went cold turkey to organic whole milk in his bottles.  Then I eliminated the midday bottle and made that a sippy cup with lunch.  Then the next day I eliminated the morning bottle to be a sippy cup of milk when he woke up.  I still have to eliminate the night time bottle of whole milk and make that be a sippy cup but I'm holding out probably another week until this front left tooth is in.  And because part of me wants to cry that I will be done with bottles forever.  But, I will be strong and it'll be gone within a week of him turning one because that's the rule around these parts!

6.  He wakes up about 6:30am, naps 9-11, again 1-3 then is in the tub at 6:15pm and bed by 6:45/7.  Like clockwork.  I love a good schedule and so does Grady.

7.  Still getting breathing treatments for his croupy self but they have really worked.  We will likely end these in a couple of weeks then start back around November.

8.  He wants to stand and walk more than he wants to pull up or crawl.  We'll see how that works out haha.

He is such a joy and the most laid back cool buddy ever!  I really can't wait until he can talk because watching he and Molly Anne is going to be a hoot!  I wonder if he'll ever be able to get a word in?!  You're one buddy!  We love you so much!
