St. Thomas

We decided a few months ago to cruise down to St. Thomas for a couple nights.  Since it was our anniversary a couple weeks ago, that was a good excuse, not that we needed one!  We love the 2-3 night getaways instead of the two week ones. We've done those and they're brutal for us with work stuff and we miss mills! ;)

We arrived at the Ritz and they of course knew our last name and that it was our anniversary.  The bellhop Sheldon gave us rum punch (or just punch for me) and whisked us to our room on the golf cart.  No check in needed.

Champagne and chocolates in our room. Ritz doesn't miss any details.

Sunset from our balcony.

We got ready and went to the ritz restaurant Bluewater.  This was the view from our outside table.

Kevin got wahoo and I got grouper. Both amazing.

My hair was a fro in two minutes of being outside!

The next morning from our balcony. Truly a stunning property!

We walked over to the Ritz Residence section and had breakfast and this was the view from there.

Walking around the property. The water was so turquoise.

We got some beach chairs and lounged all day.

And I floated in the water in these neat sunbrella floats they had.

For lunch we took a cab to the red hook area and walked around. We went to fishtails for lunch on the water. Kevin had a wahoo sandwich and I had mahi.

Back to the hotel and we were back to our chairs.

At 4:30 on Tuesdays they have a guy bring his fish that he caught that day to the beach and the chef takes them to cook that night.

How cool right?  This grouper was huge!

Lobster

Kevin caught me napping.  There are worse places to fall asleep ;)

Dinner that night was at Sail on the property to eat that fresh fish they brought in.  They had a reggae band playing some tunes.

We got fun drinks!

Kevin had wahoo again (it really was so good) and I had lobster!

The chef came out to meet us. I'm telling you, no detail is missed!

We hung around the property, laid in the hammock then went back to our room and crashed from a long day in the sun!

We had the morning on Wednesday before we had to head back to Charlotte. More beach time!

We hopped on the direct flight back to Charlotte.  It was an easy and very chill trip!  I have a feeling we will be back soon!  Highly recommend St. Thomas and the Ritz!

  5. What a great trip! Every picture looks like a postcard, so pretty. Sunbrella floats, what? I need one of those in my life. P.S. love that they had Old Bay on the table as a condiment.
