Wedding Wednesday - Bridesmaid Gifts

Thanks again for all your sweet comments on the race!

Okay so I think yall can already tell I'm pretty OCD and like to get things done ahead of time.  I mean our wedding is still over 11 months away and I'm wayyyy too into details.  I've ordered the bags for the welcome bags, thought of a design for them, I definitely know what's in them.

Anyway today I wanted to talk Bridesmaid's Gifts.  Now don't be silly, I'm not spilling the beans on la blog since lots of my girls read it but I thought these were some fun ideas in case you or someone you know is looking for something!  I bought my bridesmaid's gifts this week and had the best time doing so! ;)

Kate Spade "As Good As Gold" bracelet.  Comes beautifully wrapped and let's be honest, aren't our bridesmaid's as good as gold to us?!

Everyone loves the 16 oz. tumblers.  Especially personalized in fun colors.

And what lady wouldn't love a fun clutch?!  Can't go wrong.

Of course you can always do the jewelry that they will wear the day of or treat them to a mani/pedi the weekend of.  I personally am choosing not to do that because everyone is just wearing pearl stud earrings and we all have those and we can all do our own nails ahead of time (I know I usually do this before I leave for the wedding).

So those are a few ideas.  Email me if you'd like any more ideas for BM's or anyone else in the wedding party.  My brain has been racking these gifts (and all the other gifts we get to buy!) since the day I got engaged.  I loveeeee to give gifts!!!  Sometime I'll do a post on Groomsman gifts too!

  1. You are so smart to not include nails into the bridesmaid luncheon activities/gifts for your bridesmaids. I was in a family friend's wedding last year (she's like 8 years older than I am). Anyway, we all had to go to this kinda gross nail place and then went out for lunch the day before the wedding. I was cringing the whole time, I just wanted to be at my nail place. We could have easily just gone out for lunch! You are so organized and I'm so impressed!!!

  2. I love the Kate Spade bangle! And I agree with mFw--I went to get my nails done with a bridal party a few years back, and I hated the place we had it done. I was seriously dying to be at my own salon the whole time!

  3. I didn't do nails either. I've always been annoyed by that idea as well.
I only had one attendant but gave her a Stella and Dot necklace I knew she would like(we've been b/f/fs since 2nd grade).
I also paid for her hair and makeup to be done the day of the wedding.
That's costly in itself but something I always like for weddings.
Especially the makeup. Granted.. not everyone is into that b/c they're weird about their hair.

  8. I gave my bridesmaids a mercury glass box from Anthropologie (the perfect size to hold jewelry) and a vintage handkerchief. They all ended up wrapping the hankies around their bouquets and it looked gorgeous. I kept the gifts simple but pretty.

  10. the Kate Spade bangle is classic, of course!
When I was a bridesmaid in my sis in law's wedding, she gave all of us gorgeous antique-style clutches that matched our dresses, and are so truly beautiful that I have used it SO many times since then! I thought it was a really nice gift because 1) we would use it again and LOVE it, but it's not necessarily the type of thing you would buy for yourself; and 2) the pictures looked awesome because we were so well coordinated!

  11. I think anything and everything Kate Spade would be a wonderful gift for your girls. The packaging is always beautiful! I got my first large Tervis Tumbler in a gift basket for being in a girl's wedding and I cannot tell you how much use it has gotten--love it! I was actually just having this gift convo with a friend last night. She has 8 girls in her wedding and is having a hard time finding something nice that doesn't break the bank.

  12. What fun, back when I got married 12 years ago I gave my maid of honor a Tiffany bracelet and my bridesmaids Waterford ring holders. I also gave them jewelry for the wedding but can't remember what it was, lol! So long ago, ha! ha! ;)
