This weekend was the CIAA basketball tournament in downtown Charlotte. I'll leave that up to you all to look up but let's just say this - the traffic is HORRIBLE, the clientele of the bars change, it's just a different world. Lots of people in Charlotte's downtown area = not the best weekend to be a downtown resident.
We stayed in on Friday night because we knew we couldn't drive anywhere due to the traffic (it took Kevin 1.5 hours to go 1 mile last year). Saturday morning I had a brunch for Courtney's birthday (in red below). It was at her home in south Charlotte. We had so much fun catching up. She was one of my sorority sisters in school and 4 or 5 others were there too so it was kinda like old times! :)
I quickly headed back home before the chaos began for the day. There was already some traffic at 1pm but I got home and our cars stayed put.
Bish's 33rd birthday was Saturday so we went to Molly's and celebrated. Since we know the manager, he put us in a special section up top away from the crowds. It was really nice of him. These are our friends from Avenue (our condo building).
