On April 22, we had pictures taken of Molly Anne at my friend Anni's house. Dubose out of Charleston was in town so I thought it would be a good time to have them done. We LOVE how they turned out. It was so hard narrowing them down. We bought one pose in 8x10 and another pose in 5x7, so did my parents. As you may know, the prints are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive but so worth it. They're timeless and excellent quality. Now I need to get the 8x10 done in a fancy frame and will most likely hang in our bedroom. I'll probably just put the 5x7 in our den. We will have these pictures forever!

Girl's Nights
Let's discuss girl's nights!
I'm beyond thankful to have some of the very best girlfriends. And I think they are essential to have as we navigate our jobs, our family and our children. You HAVE to have girlfriends. Husbands are wonderful and I could not live without mine but he just doesn't get some things that our girlfriends get!
Therefore, girl's nights are essential to life.
Tell me what you all do for Girl's Nights. My sister in law was telling me that every few months they meet at a pedicure place so they all get a pedicure then go get drinks and apps or even just back to someone's house. Sounds amazing right? Who has time for a pedicure? Make it be a girl's night and knock out two birds with one stone.
In this season of life, we were getting together at someone's home but now some of us have decided to go out instead. It's hard with sleeping children and lots of wine to stay semi-quiet. Ha. Plus, who has time to get their house cleaned up and make apps? Easier to go out.
Also, most of my mom friends all put their kids to bed around 7-8pm depending on who has the newest baby so we don't meet until after we have all put our kids to bed. For me, that's important because when I'm traveling for work I don't get to do that so when I'm home, I'm putting Molly Anne to bed.
We've done bunco, dinner parties, country club, makeup lessons, just chatting nights, meet at a restaurant for dinner, wine tasting (PS - girls we should this next!) and other things.

Catch Up Post
Little delayed today and I don't even know if this will be 5 things for Five on Friday but let's just go with it. Got up this morning and walked with my friend Lisa. I love exercising and catching up with friends at the same time. So easy!
1. This little love has been extra sweet this week and I cannot get enough of her!
2. She's started doing this thing where she smooshes her face onto Mills' hoover and she just loves on him. It may be the cutest thing EVERRRRR. I thought she was about to do it here but she didn't. I hope I can capture it some day!
3. Got to meet my friend Courtney's new baby Scarlett this week! She's so sweet and looks just like her big sister! Speaking of, I took three meals to three new baby families this week. I love doing that because we had a few brought to us when MA was born and it was incredibly helpful. Honestly the ones I took weren't anything fancy but everything tastes better when you don't have to shop or cook it right?
4. Girl's nights are GOOD for the soul. Post coming up next week on girl's nights in general. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
5. Our sweet neighbor's daughter loves Molly Anne and brought her this cute ladybug blanket yesterday. Molly Anne is obsessed with it and it basically is the softest thing ever. So kind of Hannah!
6. Yep now we're on to #6. Oh well. Molly Anne loves to brush her teeth haha! She can't even read a book at night because all she wants to do is brush her teeth again. Crazy girl!
Happy Weekend!

Things I've Gotten Molly Anne at Age 1
My little infant has grown up! And now we've had to get her a few big girl things.
First up, Wet Brush The infant hair brush that was my brother's isn't working anymore because Molly Anne has a lot of hair. This wet brush is the best. And I got the little one as well and stuck that in the diaper bag.

Colgate Toothbrush and paste - at Molly Anne's one year doctor visit, the doc said she needs to start brushing her teeth. So I found this at the Buy Buy Baby store for much cheaper and Molly Anne LOVES to brush her teeth every night now! I basically just hold her while I sit in her glider and she moves it around her mouth then I brush and done. This toothpaste can be swallowed.
Munchkin non slip tub mat - my friend Sarah told me about this one versus the Target ones that are a few dollars more and not nearly as fun! We're trying to retire the baby tub haha! Honestly I've kept her in that because we bathe her in our huge jacuzzi tub. We have one other tub but it has glass doors and I don't feel like I could get to her if there was an emergency. But so far, Molly Anne likes being free in the big tub and she doesn't slip thanks to this thing!
iPad headrest holder - well let's just say this - I've tried every iPad headrest holder on Amazon and I finally found a winner. It's easy and most importantly stays on the headrest. You don't want to know what it was like on a road trip to Pawleys with only Molly Anne and I and no entertainment for her. Dramatic? Yes. We have another road trip coming up and I wasn't about to do it without my iPad. PS - I downloaded Amazon Prime videos for free while I was at home on WiFi so she can watch those. This way I don't stream and use all of our data while watching.

Next up, I need to get her some new shoes that she can walk in. Problem is, her foot is TINY so they usually don't make walking shoes that small. I'm on a mission to find something cute, practical and comfy for her!

Sweet Friends From Blogging
Y'all I've been blogging for 7 years as of last month. I can hardly believe it. It's become so much more than I ever thought it would...mainly because of the friendships I've made. I know a lot of people pick of me about having "blog friends" but let me tell you - they've become my best friends! I talk to them every day. We all are in almost the same phase of life. They're the friends that just get it.
I got so excited on Friday because I had a piece of fun mail! My friend (that I've never met in person but I've known her for years) sent me this adorable linen towel! She wrote the sweetest note about how when she saw it, she knew I had to have it. Just SO kind. Thankful for our friendship, Mallory! xo

One Year Old Gifts
Molly Anne got so spoiled for her birthday from family and our friends! These are the top 10 things she plays with a lot right now.
1. The Playskool ball popper. This thing is so loud and wild because the balls definitely pop out and off the toy but Molly Anne LOVES it. PS - I linked it to Amazon but you may need to get it somewhere else right now because it's very expensive on Amazon.
2. Poppin' Pals. This was a hand-me-down from my brother's girls and Molly Anne loves it too. Okay Molly Anne loves everything on this list so I'll quit saying that.
3. Turn and Lean Driver. This is good if you want something a little smaller but still has sounds and lights.
4. Alphabet Train - this is good for learning (it has two modes), standing up, riding, listening. Lots of things.
5. Tent tunnel - oh lawdy my child loves this. The best part - it easily folds up into the package for easy stowage.
6. Sit to Stand Walker - she is more interested in the lights and buttons rather than trying to walk with it but we're working on the walking thing. Kind of.
7. Water Table. Molly Anne could live in water, she loves it so much. I add toys to ours so she has more to do. I looked at every possible water table on Amazon and I finally decided on this one.
8. Mega Bloks. Not sure who likes these more - Mama or Molly Anne. ;)
9. Sportster. This thing is nice because we can walk down the street with it or just hang in the backyard. Plus, cup holder for child + cup holder for parent = SMART!
10. Any of the Jellycat Small animals. Molly Anne LOVES her duck and I got her the puppy so she'd have that at her one year shots. Obsessed.

The Weekend
We had a fun weekend, hope you all did too.
Friday afternoon we went to the pool then came home and played out back.
I got this silly little container at Target the other night and filled it with some toys to play with in water. Molly Anne had fun playing with this Barbie set at her cousin's house so I tried to sorta recreate it without spending $100 on Barbie stuff. I did get her one water Barbie which she loves holding.
And she loves dunking her face in water. Ha!
We had the pool to ourselves!
Kevin's parents came over and brought dinner Friday night.
Saturday morning cuddling on the couch. Worn down cushion thanks to our human dog who lays there constantly.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is serious biz yall.
Saturday night we went out with some friends to Sir Ed's for drinks, RockSalt for dinner and Ten Park Lanes for hanging out. Good times and I was toast Sunday morning after being out until after midnight.
Sunday we just hung around, went to the pool, played with some new toys she got for her birthday (she LOVES to climb through the tent tube), organized the house and fixed an easy dinner. Typical Sunday for us.
