Flowers
These are the flowers that I planted last weekend on my balcony. I know this is a terrible picture! Some of the geraniums are getting ready to bloom so I'm looking forward to that. I went for pink and yellow flowers only. From left to right, I have a pink geranium in it's own pot, a darker pink begonia in a smaller pot then in the large planter, there is one geranium, three yellow flowers (can't remember what they are called) and two begonias.
I am excited to take care of them this year. When we picked them out at Home Depot, I consulted the guy working in the nursery so he gave me tips on which plants would live with only morning sun (my condo faces east). Mom also is helping me with when to do miracle grow and watering. Ha, I know it sounds ridiculous that I have had to ask for help on this but I've never had flowers survive more than one week! This is day seven of these so I am on a roll, at least I hope so!
Tonight I'm going to meet The Pioneer Woman at a book signing. My friend Suz is coming down from Raleigh and one of her blogging friends got us tickets. I'm excited to meet new people and especially to meet The Pioneer Woman! Hope yall have a great weekend!!!

Cinco de Mayo
Last night I went to Waxhaw and had dinner with Joe and Brittany (Kevin's bro and SIL). We had such a good time. We ate at a mexican place called El Vallarte....they were having a big party with a band and a bunch of drink specials. Fun Cinco de Mayo!!

Where in the World Wednesday/Cinco de Mayo - Mexico
Today is Where in the World Wednesday, Mexico style in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Head on over to Classy in Philly to participate! If yall have been reading for awhile, you know we went to Mexico last June for a mutual friend's wedding. This was on the booze cruise we went on that the groom's family treated us to.
This was after the wedding ceremony and before the reception. It was a blast!
On the last day, Kevin and I took a ferry over to Cozumel to check that out for a few hours. It wasn't as great as we expected but we got some fun pictures. I like this one because of the flag in the background.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!!! Yall drinking some Coronas tonight?!!

The Varsity
Last week when I was in Atlanta for Kevin's business trip, he said it was essential that I try the Varsity since I hadn't before. It was weird timing because all you girls had just been there for the Beth Moore weekend and some of you had visited the Varsity. This was the Monday after! I wish I had been there with yall too!
Anyway, for those who haven't been, when you walk in, it is huge (the world's largest drive-in, even though you can go in to order too). They have a long counter of people waiting to take your order and they are all yelling, "whatta-you-have, whatta-you-have." So basically don't go up to the counter unless you're ready. Kevin and I just split one hot dog with chili and cheese on it. It was so good! Next time you're in Atlanta, make a stop here!
Okay this is it for Atlanta posts, yall are probably getting tired of hearing about my 2 day trip - haha....but it was so fun! :)

Shopping in Atlanta
While I was in Atlanta last Monday and Kevin was working, I went shopping! Ended up going to four malls...of course starting with Lenox and Phipps Plaza. Here are some favs...
Lillllly in the Belk at Phipps! This was the only place I found some good things on sale, just not in my size!
Had never been in an all Tory Burch store so I was in love. I wanted everything.
Ladies, I went home with not one single purchase. I was SO proud of myself!!!
Courtney's Bachelorette Party
On Saturday night, I went to Courtney's bachelorette party at Andrew Blair's in Southpark. Let me preface - Courtney has more friends than anyone I know - by far! She is such a sweet girl and is always sooo good at keeping in touch with everyone. We are really looking forward to their wedding in June! Here are some Chi O's - Julie, Me, Kara, Nicole, Jigna, Courtney, Tracy, Melody
Here is the whole group! See what I mean - over 20 ladies for a bachelorette party! She is a special girl! :)
We had a pretty chill Sunday. We met Kevin's brother and SIL Brittany at Mac's on South Boulevard (a bbq biker bar/restaurant). It was soooo good! We ended up staying for awhile and having some beverages. One of my co-workers came up there on his bike. Ha, he's one of those guys you would not think has a bike but he totally has that rough edge if you know what I mean. He's hilarious. Anyway, Brittany and I got on it before he left. Hilarious! And PS - pardon my appearance - I rode my bike out to the restaurant...
We had a great weekenad and I hope you did too! This is Kevin's last week in Atlanta (he's been out of town for 5 weeks!). We are going to be celebrating come Friday!
