Five on Friday

ONE:
I love sleeping babies and I check on them every night before I go to bed!

Can't forget this boy...he follows me around until he knows I'm going to bed and he settles right in.

TWO:
Went out with some girlfriends Wednesday night.  We had dinner at CO and it was delicious!  It was pouring rain when we left the house so I wore my boots.  Pink hoops are from @mrsjuliab on Instagram!  Dress is the same one I wear every week.  It's out of stock in black but they have three other colors (I have the blue too).

Old school friends and thankful for them.

THREE:
These two.  I've unintentionally been taking a similar pose picture of them ever since Grady was born so now it's fun to look back and see how much they've grown.

Cracks me up.

A boy and his dog.

FOUR:
If you haven't tried this, you're missing out.  Credit goes to my Dad on this one.  I fill a cup halfway with ice and do half water and half this low calorie lemonade, it's so refreshing!

FIVE:
Last night we got to watch Maggie swim in a swim meet and she did awesome!  Molly Anne loved cheering for her!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Two Things

Two quick things today:

1.  Molly Anne's favorite nightgowns are 50% off now through the 18th with code GETAWAY, making them $16.  This is the time to stock up.  She has three of them but I'm thinking about getting her the other heart one or the seahorses!  She wears one every night!

2.  I've been meaning to write this on here but haven't yet.  A few weeks ago, she was riding her scooter while I got the mail and brought in the trash cans.  She had just scooted into the garage and out of nowhere, she faceplanted.  I don't even know how it happened and she doesn't either but THANK GOODNESS she had her helmet on.  She literally had an indentation in her forehead from her helmet.  So make your kids wear their helmets even when it is just for a little scoot on the driveway or a small bike ride.  Ya never know.   (And yes, she is loving swim class this week ;))

Meals and Italian Salad Recipe

I can't remember if I've shared the Italian salad that we've been making every few weeks.  It's from my friend Rachel's recipe and it's easy, delicious and healthy.  I pre-chop everything ahead of time so it makes dinner after work happen quickly.  And yep, paper plates.
Salami
Pepperoni
Fresh mozzarella
Red onion, chopped
Grape tomatoes
Pepperoncini - I get them pre-sliced in the jar
All over butter lettuce with the garlic expressions dressing

This week's "menu:"
Monday - Kevin is grabbing sub in a tubs for us from Jersey Mikes and the kids will split a turkey sandwich or something.
Tuesday - Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast casserole and mandarin oranges
Wednesday - Smoked sausage, sweet potato and brussels (adapted from sheet pan dinner
Thursday - Taco Salads

All of this I do ahead of time...so I'll make the casserole the night before.  I'll pre-chop everything for the sheet pan dinner.  And I'll cook the taco meet the night before.  I literally have to do everything in advance or we would never eat dinner after work.

Weekend - Carowinds and Two Parties

This weekend we really didn't have any plans other than two birthday parties!  It was a welcomed low key weekend!

Friday night we went to the club with Kevin's parents.  Grady always loves the buffet for a couple of reasons - one, it's instant food and no waiting.  two, all you can eat.  And this boy definitely ate Molly Anne's fair share.  Grady is still free but there's a charge for Molly Anne.  In our family, it should really be the opposite because Molly Anne barely eats anything!  Too funny.

That night Kevin and I hung on the back porch for awhile.

Saturday morning I took Molly Anne to Carowinds during Grady's morning nap to activate her Pre-K pass.  If you registered before June 3 and take it to be activated by June 16th, you get a free annual pass to Carowinds (local amusement park).  A good deal!  Oh and I had to buy a season pass but it was nominal for what you get.

We rode rides for about an hour and a half and had no lines.  This girl loves a rollercoaster like her Daddy.  We left a bit before 11 and it was getting hot and crowded then.

After naps, I took both kids to a birthday party for one of Molly Anne's classmates at Charlotte Allstars.  It was a great venue!

We hung with our next door neighbors that night!

Sunday we had a low key, pajamas all day kind of day.  Grady is into everything now which is honestly so nice.  He loves everything in the playroom and I think I've gotten most of the little pieces put away.  Molly Anne is good at knowing what can't be around for Grady to pick up.

Kevin put them down for naps and I ran up to see Lochlan smash his cake for his first birthday celebration!  Sweet boy is already one!  He and Grady are exactly 4 weeks apart which is so fun.

I came home, jumped on my peloton for a quick ride then showered up.  Molly Anne and I went and got Viva Chicken for dinner and that was it.  Easy little Sunday and much needed down time.

Today we are back at it.  Work, school, Ms. Becky's and Molly Anne has swim lessons every day after work this week and next.  Whew.  I want her SWIMMING though so it's worth it.  Chat soon friends.

Seven on Friday

ONE:
Grady had spaghetti for the first time this week and I think he's a fan!  He also downed a huge piece of watermelon.  I live for these non picky eater days!

TWO:
He's really crawling now and I'm going have to do a bit more baby proofing than I ever did with Molly Anne.  One because of our new house layout and two because this boy is into a lot more than she was.  He's already pulled a bottle of wine off the rack.  We had the same rack in our old house and Molly Anne never touched it!  Funny!

THREE:
We like to go to family night at our club on Wednesdays to break up the week.  The first Wednesday of the month is always mexican buffet so we hit that up the other day.

FOUR:
Went out with some mom's from Molly Anne's class on Wednesday night.  We tried Civetta in stonecrest and their food looked delicious.  I just had some wine since I had already eaten.  Always good girl time!  PS - I've worn this shirt twice in the last week and a half since I've had it.  Love love love.  I wore it with a black pencil skirt to work and with white jeans last night.

FIVE:
Grady got his hair cut on Wednesday after physical therapy.  Looks like a little boy doesn't he!?!  I take him to Modern where I get mine done.  I think it's a little easier than going to one of the kids places and it's not outrageously priced.

This girlie is wearing my niece's dress and I literally feel like yesterday Sarah was 4 and wearing this too!  Molly Anne has loved checking out the hydrangea every day.  We planted a hibiscus yesterday morning so Molly Anne is in charge of watering and taking care of it...she's so excited!

SIX:
All of the mom's love when the teachers do these question and answer things and post their responses.  Molly Anne's cracks me up because clearly this was done the day after we returned from Disney.  I packed all of her outfits in individual plastic bags so that's why I think she answered the way she did.  Too funny!

SEVEN:
I love following Cassie at Hi Sugarplum (she is the absolute sweetest!) and I've bought so many of her pieces from her collab with Gibson.  Her new line came out yesterday with even more amazing things for summer.  If I had a summer wedding or anything dressy this year, this dress below is a no brainer....classy, fun and $69.

This dress that I have in black and blue is on sale 40% off right now.  Shop her whole collection here and I promise you won't be disappointed.  Oh this tank is amazing too...I have it in three colors.

Also, Cassie has no clue who I am, I just like her stuff! ;)
x Hi Sugarplum! Cavallo Ruffle Neck Date Dress, Main, color, BLACK

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!  My Mom is having a little surgery today so keep her in your happy thoughts! :)

Disney Day Four & Five - Epcot and Farewell Party

On Saturday we woke up and went over to Epcot.  We were there when they opened the park (a few minutes before 9) so we went directly to Norway to meet Elsa and Anna first!  We had 9:20am reservations for the character breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall but knew we wouldn't meet Elsa and Anna there.  My friend Hilary told me I could totally make it over to meet Elsa and Anna before the breakfast and she was spot on!  We even had time to do the Frozen ride before the breakfast.  I knew after breakfast there would be an hour wait for the ride and there was so I'm glad we did it ahead of time!  I think the Frozen ride was extra special for Molly Anne because she knows the movie so well!

The breakfast was delicious and such a great experience!  Before we sat down, she met Belle!

She even got to march in the princess parade with Cinderella the first time and Snow White the second time!  Cinderella was extra personable and sweet with Molly Anne!

The International Flower and Garden Festival was going on so everything was so beautiful!

We walked over to the Mission: Space ride and rode that with a fast pass.  It was super cool and I'm glad Molly Anne was down for it!  You got in these small things that made you feel like you were an astronaut and were flying through space and seeing different destinations below you.  She was a tough cookie to do this for sure!  She has been really into space and learning about different planets so I'm glad we got to do this!  Anything STEM related for her, I strongly encourage! ;)

We also stood in line for The Seas with Nemo and Friends and this was cool too.  The wait was inside and air conditioned so that made it nice.  Afterwards, there were large aquariums that we bopped around and Molly Anne loved that too.

We headed back to the hotel about 12:30pm for nap time.  It had been a longggg day the day before and we were honestly all a bit wiped!

After naps we went to Kevin's work's farewell party where they had a huge convention center set up with arcade games and places to meet characters!  It was awesome.

She had to be the first to meet Minnie and Mickey!  They were so fun with her!

Evidently the 4 Incredibles are never together so this was a special event!  Soon we will get the official pictures from his company and I'll share those because I'm sure they're better of these particular meetings!

She doesn't look thrilled to meet the Genie but she was!

Then we went and met my parents to go swimming only to be greeted with pouring down rain.  We waited it out in the arcade.  This girl loves some skeeball!

Showing Nannie and Poppa all of her tricks!  She swam until bedtime!

The next morning we came home but first we zipped over to Nannie and Poppa's hotel for breakfast!

We hopped on the bus and cruised to the airport!  She picked out this little Minnie to get and she also found a Mickey t-shirt to give Grady!

She hasn't been without her ears and Minnie this week and she is still beaming from such an amazing trip!  Very magical for our Molly Anne and we LOVED seeing the joy in her eyes!

Now, when do we get to go back and take Grady with us?!!
