Clutch

Yall - isn't this clutch presch?!!! I saw it on the J. Crew sale section just now! It has been reduced from $88 to $49.99. I'm not allowed to buy it - on a strict budget - but I can still dream!
Do yall carry clutches most of the time when you go out at nights? I have found that it is so much easier to do that rather than carry a large bag.

Where in the World Wednesday - Memphis, TN

This week, I'm in Memphis, Tennessee for Classy in Philadelphia's Where in the World Wednesday! We went there last May for my friend Cristin's wedding. IT WAS AWESOME!

We got there just in time for the rehearsal dinner! Afterward, we went out for a bit and checked out Beale Street. Let's just say it was fun for visiting once or twice but don't know if that would be our usual hangout if we lived there! We made the best of it and had a few beverages...obviously....
The bride's family had left us tickets for a tour of Graceland and for the infamous BBQ Festival which was going on that weekend! We of course checked out both! Here is a room inside of Elvis' home!
Then we headed to the BBQ festival to check it out. People come from all over to compete in the contest. We had fun people watching and tasting the good stuff!
We headed back to Beale Street to check out a place called Silky O'Sullivans for this special bucket of drink! Ha! It was Miller Lite, Sangria, Rum and Champagne. Surprisingly, it was really good!
We headed back to get ready for the amazing wedding that was ahead! Check this out! Their reception was at the Peabody so everyone stayed there too. It was a gorgeous venue and everything was done to a tee! Simply perfection!
The happy couple!!!
We have a habit of being the last to leave wedding receptions and always going out afterwards! It is so fun though. Funny enough, we went out after their reception and when we got back in, the bride and groom were walking out to go to the airport for their honeymoon. Needless to say, we had a great time the whole weekend!
What a fun trip! We had a blast and were sad to leave on Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by for our little weekend tour of Memphis!

Ramblings...

Who watched The Bachelor last night? What is wrong with that man?! Did he not see it in his parents eyes? I guess we can't fault him if he didn't feel like that spark is there, but ahhh! It was frustrating to watch!

On the other hand....I'm SO glad Ali is the next bachelorette. She seems classy and I bet she'll be fun to watch. May 24th - hurry up and get here!!!
Have yall ever won anything on a radio station? Well I was driving up to Virginia last week and was listening to 96.9 The Kat and I heard them say the next time a Darius Rucker song came on, to be caller 24. I kept calling, busy signal, busy signal. Then it rang. It rang and rang and rang for probably over a minute. Then they picked up. I was caller 24. OMG!

I won tickets to The Concert for Hope which benefits the St. Jude Hospital! It stars Darius Rucker, Kellie Pickler, Rodney Atkins, LeeAnn Womack and Jason Michael Carroll. SO cool. Anyway, the concert is tonight and I'm super excited! One of my bestests from college also got tickets with her husband so we get to go together! Should be an awesome concert!

I know, The Bachelor to country music to Vineyard Vines. Random! I saw this dress in their new catalog and I think it is super cute. But have yall ever tried their dresses on? I tried one on last year and it fits so weird - tight in the legs and huge up top! The girls in the store said they have heard that from a lot of people. Have yall had the same problem? Maybe they have fixed this issue for their new line of dresses?

Ft. Lauderdale

We arrived to Ft. Lauderdale mid afternoon on Friday! Our driver "Action Jackson" took us to the hotel. A couple more girls came in later. Suz, Meghan, Kelly the Bride, Max, Annie, Kristen (who was a complete sport, despite being pregnant with baby #2!)

The view from our room at the Hilton Beach Resort! We had two queen suites and they were really nice!

After we got checked in, we walked down the street to find a fun spot for lunch. We ended up at Casablanca Cafe which we later heard is the most romantic restaurant in South Florida. Ha! We enjoyed the patio and a cold beverage! Afterward, we met up with the other girls and had girl talk for a few hours! Ha! That night we went to the Samba Room on Friday night for dinner!

We didn't stay out late because I think everyone was pretty tired from a long day! The next morning we got up and some of us went for a walk. It was SO pretty out. Around 70 degrees but a tad windy. After walking, we met up for breakfast. It was so nice sitting out on the patio and having some fresh fruit and pastries!
We layed out by the pool for a few hours that morning (amazingly, some of us got a little sun despite the freezing wind!). We all got cleaned up to go for another walk and stopped for lunch at H2O. It was tasty....salads and sandwiches. One of the girls planned a scavenger hunt for us of things each team had to do or bring back. It was so fun being girls and egging on our bachelorette to do crazy things. We had to dress up and pose with a maniquin. This was ours - in a CVS. Ha!
After the hunt, we went to Fat Tuesdays for a drink and scooted back to the hotel just before it started raining! We hung out in one of the rooms and had dance party usa. It was fun! We then all showered up and got ready for the big night!
We went to Big City Tavern for dinner and as you can see, a few boys stopped by to wish the bride good luck!

We went to Blue Martini and saw this awesome band. They rocked it out! It was cool - the stage was behind the bar. They played dance songs that everyone knew!
Then we headed to the Westin where there is a happening night life. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get in! It was pretty but not really our scene. By this time, everyone was done so we headed back.
We got up for a quick breakfast before heading back to the airport. It was such a fun trip and we were glad to celebrate Kelly's upcoming marriage with her last weeks as a single lady!

Busy, Busy!

Today has been nuts! I'm sorry I'm just now getting a minute to post something. Traveled this morning and busy afternoon. Got to go to Charlotte Country Club for lunch with bossman so that was an extra special treat. He took the three girls in the development group. The Club is GORGEOUS.
The picture above depicts where I will be for the next few days! Going to Ft. Lauderdale for Kelly's bachelorette party!!! SO excited to celebrate Kelly and enjoy girl time! Will have fun pictures for Monday! Hope yall have a good weekend!

Where in the World Wednesday - Pawleys Island, SC

It is Where in the World Wednesday over at Jessicas - Classy in Philadelphia! Today I'm in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
My brother, sister in law and niece live there. It is gorgeous. Last July we met my parents down there. My brother took us on his jon boat down Pawleys Creek to a little island only accessible by small boats since the water is so shallow. A bunch of their friends go there and everyone just hangs out.
My perfect niece!
Parents, Emily and Kevin hanging out. Okay so Kevin is wishing he was on the jetski...
My bro after taking a lil spin. This is a cool picture -
We all came home and took showers to grill out. This picture gets me every time....Kev and Anna Kate. It is framed and on my bookshelf at home.
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Shopping with Kelly

My friend Kelly came into town last night from Raleigh for work so we hung out. Of course we went to the mall and walked around. Kelly introduced me to these adorable JPK purses. Have you ever seen them? They are practical - they have a couple pockets inside and button at the top. I think it may be a necessary change from Longchamp one of these days! Here she is modeling the pink one -
Then we ventured over to the accessories department at Nordstrom. We were talking about hair pieces for her wedding and I thought this was super fun for a random day or night out. I know some of yall talk about headbands on your blog but I am just never creative enough to put something like that together. It is kinda hard to see because of the lighting but it is an ivory poof! And PS - this picture is terrible (I ran at lunch yesterday so my hair was foul looking).
AND the best part?! She gave me my bridesmaid's dress for her wedding in April! It is SO pretty! But I'll save that picture for April 26th (the Monday after her wedding!).
