Bar Redo

As part of our reno that we are doing to our third floor (well we are really just finishing it from when we built our house) we did some other things we've wanted to do to the house. Including...on our main floor, our bar area. Our little wine/beverage fridge broke after 7 years. It was a nice one - Danby - and still failed. Once the compressor goes, you may as well buy a new fridge. Frustrating.

Anyway, we wanted a pebble ice maker. Well...those are a whole story in themselves. In order to get one that holds the ice frozen for days, they are $$$$. I read about them so much and that was pretty much the only option. This thing we got makes 82 pounds of ice a day. It's amazing.

But we also had to have our cabinets altered to make the 24" hole be a 15" hole. And we added a wine rack by doing that.

THE ice maker...not installed yet!

All of our wine we took out of the beverage fridge ha.

Isn't it so pretty now?!

Baseball

Still living that baseball life. Friday evening, Saturday midday, Sunday all day. He loves it and I do too! We did get to go to the high school football game on Friday night!

Meal prep one time for two baseball days! I doubled this exact thing below and only had the work one time.

Grady went with some friends to see Dude Perfect so we took Molly Anne to The Office for dinner! Kids meals aren't as popular around here any more...crazy.

Grady had a friend spend the night Saturday. The boys are so easy when they stay over. On Sunday he got the game ball for the first game. He's loving playing first base and catching all of the balls!

I made this dumpling dish for dinner on Sunday night and Molly Anne helped me decorate for Halloween. It was a good weekend!

Looks This Week

I found some good ones this week that I'm excited about!

ONE - this is a really great jacket for the south. It's warm but not too hot! I'm going to grab it in black. I tried it on and it's not very big like the reviews say. I'm getting my regular Large.

TWO - love this dress with boots and I've heard this style is great.

THREE - okay so I saw these pants as I walked by Lulu and I like them for work!! I ordered them in this color and black and can't wait to try them on...stay tuned. I am 5'7" and ordered short so I could not have pants dragging around.

FOUR - screams holiday to me. With a silver skirt?!

FIVE - interesting how this jacket with brown on it looks good with black pants! A winner!

College Care Package

One of my cousin's girls (my niece but technically my cousin) is in college this year and I wanted to send her a little treat! Here is what I picked up from Target to send to her in case you feel like sending someone a pick me up!

Baseball Weekend

I feel like I say every weekend is a baseball weekend and that's because it is. Grady had practice Friday night, game Saturday for his rec team and two games Sunday for his challenge team!

Only cool cats practice in the pouring down rain!

Lot of shortstop for his rec team!

Kevin took Molly Anne to a friend's birthday party at Top Golf!

After the Saturday activities we went to Duckworths for wings, nachos and pumpkin beer on draft! These nachos are huge and delicious!

Then went over to our friend's house where obviously Grady had to get in their pool!

Sunday morning prep for the ball field. These containers are great except they don't go in the dishwasher and they don't fit in coolers so you can only put things that won't melt in it if you're going to be outside all day - aka baseball field, beach, boat.

Grady played his heart out. Lots of first base for his challenge team. He may have found his calling - he likes first! I was most proud of his sportsmanship and how he cheered on his teammates. He did have some awesome hits and good plays in the field though!

Molly Anne and I returned some stuff at Target then had to stop by Sephora. This is what we do - take pics and start a Christmas list!

Another baseball game tonight. Good times yall! At least he loves it!

THREE - I was in the store and this dress caught my eye!

FOUR - wearing my fav tank all of the time!

FIVE - instantly makes whatever you have on an outfit - this jacket!

Menu Last Two Weeks

My kids and I have been doing Dr. Temple's plant point challenge over the last week or so. They LOVE competing against each other and with me. All friendly of course. You can follow Dr. Temple on Insta for more info - @dranamariatemple (she used to be MAs pediatrician when MA was a baby!

Here are some things I've made recently:

Burgers, squash/zucchini/asparagus seasoned with garlic powder/onion powder/paprika/thyme on the grill, red potatoes steamed in microwave then squished on a sheet pan and topped with cheddar and cooked in the oven for 15 min. Yes this was a Sunday night meal.

Beef with snow peas - I also added broccoli. My kids loved this and I did not add rice. PS - I made this whole dish on Sunday then reheated on Monday after field hockey. So easy and good. Your Monday self will thank your Sunday self.

Make your own pizza with this crust - this was for a night I was out of town. I made the crust and toppings on Sunday so Kevin would have an easy dinner to throw together.

Greek Chicken Bowls - prep it all on Sunday

Another Sunday meal - Steaks on the grill with salt/pepper/Worcestershire, and squash/zucchini and potato rounds in the air fryer.

Beanier and Creamier - an easy Mexican make ahead meal. Serve with fruit and a veggie.

Can y'all tell I'm a make ahead kind of cook these days with the kids having sports every night and/or me traveling?! Meal prep Sundays make my life so much easier. I clean and chop all veggies and most fruit on Sundays so that makes packing lunch way easier too.
