Christmas #1

We had Christmas on Tuesday night with Kevin’s parents, brother and niece! We had pizza, chicken nuggets, fruit and veggies then opened gifts. It was festive and fun to be together! 

Grady super excited about his tee ball bag! 


And space legos which of course were completed two days later!

Company Party

My company party was last Thursday night at Quail Hollow and it’s always a good time! I had nothing to wear so I literally threw this outfit together in about two minutes. Skirt / Sweater / Old TNuck Earrings / Old J. Crew Heels 

Grady’s Program and Party

Grady’s Christmas program and party were on Friday! He was one of the three wise men. He knew all of the songs and did a wonderful job! He loves music and bring on stage! He even had a small talking part!

The Polar Express

Last night we headed up to Spencer, NC to ride on The Polar Express! This was very magical for 4 year old Grady. He was at the perfect age for it. He didn't remember going on it two years ago of course. Molly Anne remembered the north pole but she had a few questions this year as to how it took much longer to get to the north pole than it did to get back!

We bought these tickets right when they went on sale in June so definitely put it on your calendar to purchase early for the best seats!

You know they went up on stage for the Ho Ho Ho contest to see who could say it the best! The youngest boy won, not Grady!

We asked the conductor if he could please sign their book!


Santa asked Molly Anne if she was on the naughty or nice list by asking if she had been picking on her brother. Unfortunately for her, she had kicked Grady earlier in the day and had gotten in big trouble!!! She was quite bummed! HA!


The trains at the end of the train ride were a HUGE hit. They were super cool so I'm glad we got to see those. 










It was a good time! We were on the 5:30pm train so we got there about 4:30 when it was still light out and had dinner from the food trucks then got on the train as it was getting dark. Extra magical when you get to do the train in the dark! Afterwards, we hung around looking at trains and lights and left about 7:30 to head back to Charlotte. It was a fun night and one we will only do every other year! ;)

Nutcracker and Uptown

We had a busy weekend!!

Started with an extra fun car line drop off at the elementary school! Handed out peppermints and there was fun music playing!

The four of us went to dinner at the club that night and saw one of Grady’s school friends there. 

Saturday morning I took the kids to see the Harris YMCA nutcracker at cpcc! We got to watch Ella who swims with Molly Anne and her Mom is one of my friends!




Even grady enjoyed it! It was 1.5 hours so very doable for a 4 year old boy!


Afterwards we had lunch at Ru Ru’s in myers park then headed uptown to do our annual uptown adventure. Aka valet at the Ritz for 20-30 minutes and go look at the decor in their lobby and some of the corporate towers! 


Oh and take pics in front of the same tree I’ve taken Molly Anne’s picture in front of for 8 years now! 














Back to the Ritz to see their amazing gingerbread display. 




We scooted home to grab Kevin and take him to get a new car - the bronco he’s been waiting on for two years!


Yesterday we went to The Polar Express. More to come on that!
