Five on Friday

Today I'm sitting at the Toyota dealership getting the alignment in my car fixed. I had taken it to a nearby Goodyear last summer and it has not been right since. Yes, I took it back there a second time and it still isn't right. I guess my bus is too big for their machines.

ONE:
We finally ordered some curtains for our dining room and kitchen! After building a house, we were a bit done with decisions so yes it took 3 years to decide about these. Anyway, my friend Ashley owns Martha & Ash with her Mom and they make beautiful drapery! They sent me a bunch of samples after I had sent her pictures and measurements of the windows etc. It was so easy to order "online" with her and I highly recommend! I still need to hang the kitchen but here is the dining room (which I need to steam!)!

Before...

After...

They have a navy band along them and are linen. So pretty and classic!

TWO:
I needed some snacks at work and Kevin sent me with his trail mix that he lives on that I had never tried before. Yall...it's so good! Wal-Mart!

THREE:
I was doing laundry the other night and it reminded me to send a picture of this Honey Bee Tees to my friend Brittany because she and I had been talking about what a great company they are. I love the quality of their boys t-shirts and they're cool and comfortable.

FOUR:
J.Crew is stepping up their game a bit these days I think! How cute is this bathing suit for Molly Anne?!

FIVE:
These pajamas for Grady are so fun. I know I already posted about them but they’re even cuter in person!

Happy Weekend! Molly Anne is wrapping up her first full week of in person school whoop whoop!!

Helloooo

I have some randoms for you today!

I was surprised with this hat on Monday! A family member of someone at my office was playing at the Masters and brought back hats for everyone! So nice!

Two goofballs at dance on Tuesday!

Double trouble! This was the day that Molly Anne told Kevin that she and Grady were getting married and they had a little ceremony on our front steps.

We took the kids out to dinner at Burtons last night and it was sooooo good! Could it be possible that we can go out to dinner at a nice place with the kids and they act like normal humans? We are getting there and it’s so refreshing!

A drink from the master mixologist Nina of @drinkmoorecocktails = perfection!

Happy Thursday!

Masters Party

On Saturday night my friend Hilary hosted a Masters party at their beach house down the road. It ended up being for Drew's birthday too so double the fun! She is the hostess with the mostess and doesn't miss one detail!

She put me in charge of drinks so you know I can handle that. We did spike arnold palmer's of course and used this recipe. Super easy and delicious!

Grady loves hanging with all of the older boys!

The girls!

All four couples! We even had some friendly gambling going on and Drew won first place and my Mom got the other win which was 3rd place in the Masters after the round on Saturday. The kids got to participate too which was super cute!  We did dollar bills for them!

Singing happy birthday to ole Drew!

Many good times to come this summer!  Now back to regular programming of life in Charlotte for awhile.

More Beach!

Lunch at Pelicans with Nannie and Poppa!

Afterwards Kevin took Grady on a boys boat ride with his buddies on Steve’s boat! He loveeeedddd it!

The girls went to the playground and hung there at the splash pad too. Showers all around then dinner at home. Kevin whipped his Christmas gift from my parents out to use while he fished off our dock!

Cutie girlie in the
cutest dress

Hanging on the back deck. Clearly I was the only one without a shower haha. Can’t win them all.

Saturday morning the guys took the older kiddos to breakfast then to a surf shop. My parents, Grady and I took the golf cart to breakfast and Grady had the best donut!

Swinging on his new swing that Poppa hung up! This boys LOVES to swing!

We also did a lot of other touches to make the house more like ours. Dad did so much stuff for us!

Saturday necessity.

Then we headed to a Masters party. More to come on that!

Happy Monday!

Beach - Dad’s Birthday and Grady’s First Fish

We’ve had the most fun at the beach this week! Here are some glimpses into our Spring Break!

On Monday we went to the beach after nap and I certainly didn’t think they’d get in because the water is freezing. Joke was on me! Molly Anne is holding a seashell collecting bag that I got from a local gal in CLT that does it for a Moms FB group. Grady has a green one.

Oysters on the grill!  Our friends stopped by on their boat right as these were coming off the grill so it was perfect timing!

And Dad made the best grouper! We had it over a salad for dinner.

Back porch sitting with Dad! Look at that reflection!

Tuesday morning the kids and I took Mills to the beach to get him more accustomed to running wild off his leash and coming to me. He was a good boy! They scooted over there so that’s why they have their helmets on.

We decided to have a morning adventure and drive about 30 minutes to Holden Beach to check out that playground and have lunch at Provisions.

After nap, we met up with Brittany and Kendall who happened to be here the same week! Cousins!

All cleaned up after their outdoor shower!

That night Dad made shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops! We had some green beans and cantaloupe on the side.

Wednesday was Dad’s birthday! We attempted to decorate with some balloons, a banner that kept falling and lots of cards! The kids loved giving him his gifts!

Another walk to the beach!

Then a big beach day with all of our friends!  While we were on the beach, Mom and Dad went to Lowes to pick up some stuff for the house and then to Sharkys for a bday lunch!

After naps we hung out and then got ready for the big birthday dinner at Jinks Creek! It was delicious. Dad and I got the crab imperial stuffed flounder and it was unreal. The kids loved their cheeseburger and grilled cheese. Mom got the crab cakes which were also good!

View from the restaurant!

We took the golf cart from dinner and over to our friends house to have cake! I had a cake made from a local bakery (SweetcakesTBC) and it was so good - devils food cake with white icing - his favorite! The candles kept blowing out with the wind so that was funny.

Porch swinging

Thursday we didn’t do much. Played recovery day and let the kids have some screen time and lay low. Don’t they look so cute in their life jackets?!

After our dinner of more grouper and also mahi mahi this time, we headed over to our other friend’s house to hang out.

And Grady caught his first fish with Mr. Steve! It was their first cast and look at that!

Running away from the fish and up to tell me about it!

So we went back down for a fish picture!

Here fishy fishy!!

So much fun!! All special moments and memories!
