Happy New Year! I'm a lil behind on blogging due to the past week's vacation but I'll be caught up tomorrow when I recap NYE. Last Tuesday, NC State played their bowl game in Charlotte against Louisville. I hadn't gotten to go to a State game yet this season so I jumped at the opportunity to go!
Kelly, Brett, Jessica and Michael came from Raleigh for the game! Lauren and Andrew live here in Charlotte and they joined just to tailgate. It ended up being a very windy day so we were thankful to throw some burgers and dogs on the grill here at Avenue then walk over to the game. We felt badly for those tailgaters that had been outside in a parking lot all day!
I didn't know until the last minute that we'd be able to go to the game because my niece was due on the same day but since she was born a week early, we were in town. Not many tickets were left so we got club level seats and I ended up being very thankful for these. They were great seats and it was nice to be able to go inside and get warm!
At halftime we met up with my Country Boys (well 3 of 4 of them). These guys were some of my very best friends at NC State and we all suffered through engineering classes together.
Kevin and I at the game!
And NC State won! We were thrilled!
Nothing better than a lil tailgating and a good ole NC State football game. Especially just a few blocks from home!
Glad the weather cleared up!
ReplyDeleteI was at the game too! Go Pack!
ReplyDeletewoo congrats! Sadly UVA lost our bowl game!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time. Great way to end the season, too! Go Pack!
ReplyDeleteDowntown living is so convenient! I'm going to miss it one day when we move to suburbia land :(
ReplyDeleteIt was really cold tailgating...we got out there at 2:30! It was really fun and worth it though to see State play such a great game! We were lucky enough to have club level seats as well...that was a definite life saver for an 8:00 game!
