Figured it would be fun to post a few pictures of some OOTD's this week.
First up - Black sweater jacket from J. Crew, black stretch long sleeve tee underneath tucked into camel light wool J. Crew skirt. No tights yet, just J. Crew black suede round toe pumps (they have a patent heel, so pretty).
Winter white ruffle cardigan, black Michael stars tank, beady necklace, black J. Crew minnie pants. I'll talk about those in the next couple of weeks.
Today - Dressy tank from a lil boutique called Luna, black J. Crew forever cardigan from a couple years ago, J. Crew rust pencil skirt, black tights (first time all year), classic black pumps.
Most of these clothes are 2+ years old, some even 5-6 years old. That's what happens when you buy classics and not necessarily the "in" thing every year. All of my J. Crew clothes wear very well and I've only had a problem with one of my suit skirts and they made it right. I'm huge on buying well made clothes because even though they may cost a little more, they last much longer.
That's my tidbit for the day! ;)

ReplyDeleteLove those outfits girl! I agree. I would rather buy nice classic pieces that last forever than a bunch of cheap stuff and waste money! I wear clothes from highschool still. I even found my favorite puffer j.crew vest....tag said "holiday 04" I FREAKED out, but I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the third outfit--that top is fabulous! I'm the same way as you--I buy new clothes frequently, however, I keep the same ones in my closet year after year and really get good wear out of them!
ReplyDeleteok, so i have to ask...don't you get cold wearing skirts? my office is freezing and when I do fly it's so cold. i haven't worn a skirt to work in about 5 years!
