My Mom's broccoli was a staple when we were growing up. I hadn't made it in so long but it sounded good for Easter brunch.
Ingredients:
1. 4 heads of broccoli cut into bite size pieces
2. 1/2 cup of raisins
3. 10 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
4. 5 green onions, chopped
5. 1 cup mayonnaise
6. 2 tablespoons white vinegar
7. 1/4 cup sugar
Directions:
1. Place broccoli in large bowl. Add raisins, bacon and onions.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayo, vinegar and sugar.
3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture.
4. Toss gently.
5. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
This is good the next day and two days later as well!
I've never had broccoli salad but this sounds like it would be a hit at our house! Will make on Sunday for next week - thank you!
