Not my usual post today but I had to share something my friend Shauna told us about - ThermaCELL. This stuff works much better than any citronella candle. Just light it and set it on the table next to you and you won't see any mosquitos biting you!
I don't know about you all but I spent a lot of time outside in March and April because I dread this time of year when the mosquitos are horrible. Well now we can finally sit outside again.
I looked at Lowes for this and they didn't have it. Home Depot did or of course you can get it on Amazon. It was $23 for the main part and $20 for the refill at HD.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to find this ASAP! Our favorite thing to do after work is enjoy a little cocktail hour on our deck with Molly but the mosquitoes are so. bad, and I'm horribly allergic-- their bites swell up terribly on me! I've tried a couple of candles and the mosquitoes literally swarm around the candle (pointless). Thanks for sharing this!

I get eaten alive by mosquitoes and since we aren't supposed to use bug spray while pregnant I think I need one of these asap.

ReplyDeleteYou just need to get your yard professionally sprayed. Our contract has a guy out spraying every three weeks. No need for candles or any of that stuff!
